Two years back I never thought I'd be the "annoying vegan"
But as my consciousness increases, the more psychotic and wrong it appears to me what goes on in slaughterhouses. I was at the grocery store earlier and was looking at the dead rabbit's and lamb's head. Their eyes didn't show that they wanted to die, though the sheep seemed a bit more accepting of its fate.
It just seems wrong.
It just seems wrong.

Do your parents know you're gay?
How dare you!
Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.

And don't label it as "hipster". Even the label 'vegan' is stupid. It's about cruelty free.

As much as those kind of vegans annoy my carnivorous instincts, I can entirely see where they are coming from. To be honest, it's us meat eaters that are the illogical and irrational ones; if you concede that animals are capable of experiencing great suffering (and all the evidence suggests they are) then it is only reasonable to be outspoken against meat consumption.

I'm not vegan, OP.
But do you have a good tempeh stir fry recipe? Or a good introductory tempeh recipe in general? I don't mean how to make tempeh. I mean a recipe which uses tempeh.

Good on you man, your choice of going vegan will save many animal lives and fundamentally change the meat industry

i feel like being a omnivore is a simpler eating approach because:
get plenty of calories because we care about survival WITHOUT having to eat all day
less variety of food to meet micronutrients, less worry
vs
vegans would need extensive knowledge on different foods and bodily needs
heavy on the wallet if you care mostly of local/organic produce
both people can be healthy but eating habits from youth play a big role
it's also understandable that you feel sadness and discomfort when you see slaughterhouse action but those are set to meet demands
you would need some worldwide reform, IDK
i think we're still a few hundred years away from that

And since you want to learn how to cook, here's a simple recipe for tomatillo avocado sauce:http://allrecipes.com/recipe/233271/...matillo-salsa/
I've been putting it on grilled things and eating my face off on it with tortilla chips. But earlier tonight I had a quarter cup left and mixed it with olive oil, salt, pepper, extra lime juice and made a dressing for a big green salad for dinner.

The wise ancients considered eating meat as a privilege and honored the animal before it was slaughtered. You could see sacrifices are understandable in some sense, but the mass torturing and killing that goes on is psychopathic and "not thinking about it" for your gains, or because you like the taste, or have cravings for it...well, it still takes from you as a human being. Being human isn't just about "gains" and appetite. It's about consciousness, the whole being.
I don't know about calories and what not, but protein can be taken from lentils as well. Not just vegetables.

I wonder if there are any lions out there that are like, "I don't think I want to eat that deer anymore because I'm too worried about its suffering."

Feels. I dont view meat eaters as bad people (obviously), they just havent been educated on the subject (yet). Because theres no way you would purposely continue to eat animal products after you realize the impact those products have on the environment. And thats coming from a guy who used to eat steak for breakfast lol

I bet you voted for Sanders too, or threw your vote away for Gary Johnson if you are from the US
If you feel bad about animals being killed for food, great. Eat vegetables. We're all real impressed. But you don't have to fukin carry on about it and tell us how much better you are because you only want to eat plants. None of us come on here carrying on about how awesome we are for wanting to show compassion to plants by only eating animals. We shut the fuk up and go about our business.
This is why you are an annoying kunt. You're on par with loud atheists, loud SJWs and loud vapers.

Also, if people are allowed to talk about steaks, I am allowed to talk about the other side of the coin. We live in a yin and yang universe.
