holy ****

"Say that there exists 10 Billion people on every planet, 1 Billion planets in every solar system, 200 Billion solar systems in every galaxy, and 500 Billion galaxies in the universe. If every single person on every planet has been shuffling decks of cards completely at random at 1 Million shuffles per second since the BEGINNING OF TIME, every possible deck combination would still yet to have been "shuffled".

Keep in mind that these hypothetical numbers are not accurate, aside from the number of solar systems in a galaxy and the number of galaxies in the universe. There are obviously not 1 billion planets in every solar system (We have 8 planets in ours, not counting Pluto) and there are obviously not 10 billion people on every planet in existence. When using the correct numbers (To science's best estimate. On average, it is though that every star has at least 1 planet, so I decided to be fair and say that there were 2 planets per solar system. I also assumed that an average human can shuffle a deck of cards once every 5 seconds), we get a total of about 1.58e+50 total card shuffles since the beginning of time. That may seem close, but this is actually one 50,800,000,000,000,000,000th of 52!. So, the numbers in my explanation are 50 Quintilian times those of the semi-realistic numbers. My semi-realistic numbers actually aren't even semi-realistic, as they still assume that every planet in the known universe is as populated as earth is.

TL;DR: 52! is a big ****ing number."

I always like the theory that everything that we know exists is all a computer simulation and we have no free will.
More recently, the concept that current humanity could possibly be living in a computer simulation comes from a 2003 paper published in Philosophical Quarterly by Nick Bostrom, a philosophy professor at the University of Oxford. In the paper, he argued that at least one of three possibilities is true:
(1) The human species is likely to go extinct before reaching a โ€œposthumanโ€ stage; (2) Any posthuman civilization is very unlikely to run a significant number of simulations of its evolutionary history. We are almost certainly living in a computer simulation; (3) โ€œthe belief that there is a significant chance that we will one day become posthumans who run ancestor simulations is false, unless we are currently living in a simulation.โ€

Perhaps some of us question free will because we aren't feeling fully connected to our whole Being beyond our human bodies. What if we are much bigger than that, directly connected to our Creator and we are in a state of forgetfulness? Maybe we DO have free will, but that will is of our higher infinite selves and not the selves which we falsely identify as.

Okay opie. Sometimes I wonder if I'm living in the same moment as other people.

Like, I'm talking with my friend Matt. We're talking about barking owls and he makes a joke. We are laughing. I'm laughing. This is my present reality. But where is Matt? Is this Matt's present reality as well?

Or had Matt already been there, laughed with me, but his reality is actually 10 years from now?

Are we at the same place as the same time?? Or at the same place at different times.

That would be comparable to those gaps in time in the movie limitless where the person does not have any idea what happened for a duration of their recent past due to either short term memory loss or they simply skipped ahead in their lives.

Boeing has developed a new material that's 99.99% air - so light that the material can sit on top of a dandelion without crushing it!

The material, called Microlattice, is a 3D open-cellular polymer structure made up of interconnected hollow tubes, each with a wall 1,000 times thinner than a human hair.

The trick is to fabricate a lattice of interconnected hollow tubes with a wall thickness of 100 nanometers, 1,000 times thinner than a human hair.

Boeing says an egg wrapped in the new material would survive a 25 storey drop. They expect to use it to reduce the weight of planes, and is so light that is can sit on top of a dandelion.

Maybe we live in a world where everything makes sense and when we go to sleep in that world, we're born into this world

When we die in this world, we wake back up in that world

Maybe in that world, dreams last ~80 years and the people who die early in this world are just people who set their alarms and had to be up early in that world

The idea of your thinking creating an attraction. Now of course there is the law of attraction, which is the same basic idea, but really....your thinking has power that I think no one can even fathom.

For example, the other weekend I kept thinking about my career path. I was thinking about how do I get on with my life and in the direction I want. Well literally later that day at brunch, I was sitting and waiting to be seated when two ladies walk in. Immediately the one lady starts talking to me about how busy it is, then proceeds to sit next to me. After 30 seconds, she taps me on the shoulder, stares me dead in the eyes after saying her name was Carol, and asked me if there was something in my life where I felt lost. Where I was struggling to find my way? I said yes, and still staring directly into my eyes, she said "Well God told me to pray for you and to tell you that you will find your way. You just need to stay positive and things will work out." Then she didn't say another word to me.

So I am not really religious, but that was extremely bizarre. To the point it is giving me goosebumps right now. I can't explain the action of it....the impact of it.

Along with that, I found the same thing to be true with giving. For example, I had a point where I had almost no money. I went to a friend's fundraiser event for the NY marathon she was running, and when I got there i found out the fee for the food and drinks/beer was 30$ cash only. I literally only had like 80$ (poor college student with an unpaid internship). I really hesitated, and was about to decline (planned to just show up for support), but I knew she was raising money for a cause she was deeply connected to. So I went through with the 30$ and gave an extra 20$. I had no money anyways. Kind of a "fukk it" moment, but I really did want to give since it was close to her family.

Well literally 1 week later, with pretty much no money to my name, I went with a buddy to help his uncle at his work, and he paid me handsomely for literally minimal work (he refused to take no for an answer), more opportunities to make money popped up out of nowhere, and found out my coach gave me an extra 8k scholarship months after I asked for more money for my hard work/performance/etc. I even said even idc if it is a couple hundred bucks to pay for books, and he gave me 4k off a semester...

Idk throughout my life I can't explain all of these events as coincidences. It almost seems like things happen for a reason, or IMO moreso as a reaction. There is more to us than just skin and bones. That the idea of energy, positive energy, negative energy, etc, influences events around us. Idk how....idk why.....I sound like a hippie or someone on shrooms, but I honestly have been having this major epiphany about this. I may just be going crazy, but how else can I explain all of these things. I can't be in control of everything. Can I? Is it my subconscious?

It's late, I am not making sense any more, and I am tired. But basically my ranting and ideas for right now. I may just be retarded. Quite plausible.

Have done this. Used to lucid dream. 100% srs. Me and a buddy did it. You can either initiate it through sleep paralysis (hated that way. Never really worked), or you can do it through what you posted. Once you become aware and conscious that you are in fact in a dream, you begin to lucid dream. The technique I used was realizing that I was hanging around people I haven't seen in a while. I would become aware by noticing that I was playing soccer with high school kids I never even talked to really.

The only problem is that you tend to get "excited" in a sense, and typically wake up soon after initiating the lucid dreaming. I got to a point where I could kind of control it, but there came a point where I remember flying in a city, and when I landed chit got really fukking weird. Everyone was death staring me. It was the most scary and creepy thing I have ever experienced. Legit evil death stares at me, as if they were all aware of what I was doing.

Never did it again after that.
