Hey MFC Brahs,

Im in Hawaii and i wanna go to a shooting range to get the true American gun experience. The experience of what i could / would have if i lived in the US.

Its quite expensive so this is what i was thinking:

1) Glock

2) AR of some type

3) shotgun

They seem like the most common home defence guns?

I've been to others before, done full auto AK, 50 cal sniper, Desert Eagle and a bunch of nostalgic WW2 guns etc

Im looking to experience what you brahs actually carry at home

A Sacramento, California, man was sentenced Thursday to over three years in prison for unlawful manufacture of a firearm and one count of dealing firearms.
Last year, Daniel Crowninshield pleaded guilty to those counts in exchange for federal prosecutors dropping other charges. According to investigators, Crowninshield, known online as "Dr. Death," would sell unfinished AR-15 lower receivers, which customers would then pay for him to transform into fully machined lower receivers using a computer numerically controlled (CNC) mill. (In October 2014, Cody Wilson, of Austin, Texas, who has pioneered 3D-printed guns, began selling a CNC mill called "Ghost Gunner," designed to work specifically on the AR-15 lower.)

"In order to create the pretext that the individual in such a scenario was building his or her own firearm, the skilled machinist would often have the individual press a button or put his or her hands on a piece of machinery so that the individual could claim that the individual, rather than the machinist, made the firearm," the government claimed in its April 14 plea agreement.

Under federal law, it is allowed to manufacture your own firearm (even with a CNC mill), but it is not allowed to do so for others without proper licensing.

In a Thursday statement, Special Agent in Charge Jill A. Snyder, of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, said that Crowninshield "owned and operated a machine shop where he allowed customers with unknown backgrounds to use his machinery to unlawfully manufacture firearms for profit. That activity posed a very dangerous threat to the safety of our communities."

cheaper on their sight, I don't know which size to get. I want my ar to look likehttp://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_118/7...=bottom#bottombut that's a 14.8" and aero has 15", I guess that's ok or no?

I also feel like I'm goofing going for a FDE ar15 when my M&P 15-22 will be FDE lol

Actually I dont think these will work thought it attached to barrel nut but no delta ring and the plate in the front. Goodluck if not worst case scenario remove the gas block, gas tube and barrel nut and use a rail with a proprietary barrel nut it's not hard.

The quantum doesn't have the rail along the top of it, imo it doesn't look nearly as clean as ones that do like aero's enhanced handguard.

lol ngl I feel so bad asking these questions.

Do any of you guys have OCD about color of your firearms? Also, putting on a BAR barrel nut for this AR15 without proper tools seems like havoc and a serious problem.

Tell them that you're an upstanding citizen exercising your natural rights guaranteed to you by the US Constitution and that the only people who it should upset are Klansmen.

BCM Complete Lower (No Stock) $324 -https://www.rainierarms.com/bcm-lower-group-no-stock

Wakaa, pick out a rail you like. When you do your FFL transfer, ask the gunshop how much they'd charge you to do the install of your rail. If they tell you "$25" or less, bring them the rail and have them do it. It'll probably take them 5 minutes.

It could have been any brand tho.

Brownells had it for $899 on Black Friday:http://www.brownells.com/firearms/ri...prod84913.aspx

At $999, that OEM model isn't any better than buying one of their complete lowers for ~$350 and any of their uppers as normal from their website. It's possibly a worse deal, since their midlength 16" uppers come with a free Comp.

You can bring it to a gunsmith (lots of gun stores have one), it's a simple procedure for them and shouldn't cost much.
