surely it has nothing to do with rehashing the same crap over and over again, ignoring bugs, rushing development, focusing on graphics over gameplay, etc etc.. big box games are going the route of movies and sticking to formulas that have worked in the past without any inclination that people just get bored of the same old ****

Used games at gamestop are $5 cheaper than new ones lol
Trade in a ps4 and they offer you $90 then they sell it for $275
Transactions are slow, "hey man you wanna add disk protection for $5? You wanna sign up for power rewards card, you wanna sign up for credit card? Nooooo I just want the damn game!

Many games, at least for Xbox are online multiplayer games, which suck because there's no story, players do not act like it's real, so they run around killing, jumping up and down, and it's so repetitive.
Or you have depressing open world games like Fallout. I read almost no one finishes these games. They are boring with no sense of mission, and so they seem cool at first, or appeal to autistic people who cannot take intensity and focus.
Game companies seemed to have given up and/or are going for making boring stuff because they sold in the past. That's great but if you make all games like that they won't appeal to a broad fan base and sales with die. When they start making games with a great story, a need for tactics, etc then sales will increase.

People complaining gamestop is bending over their customers, I won't deny it
But the studios and developers are the ones really fuking you guys over with the digital copies. How are you going to complain about resale value with that?
Games are probably the one item I'd prefer to have to buy a physical copy of, especially if it's a good game. Have the digital option there for convenience. Publishers certainly wont pass on any savings they're experiencing

Am I the only one who continuously buys physical games? That's like taking all cash out of the economy and everyone using cards. No thanks jeff

Pc master race... Its worth the price of a pc just to not have to deal with gamestop anymore. Haven't been there in like 4 years.
They are a **** company and I see them being gone or downsizing like crazy over the next few years. Even best buy is a better option then them these days.

GameStop just blows period.
They never have any "sales" (so if you want to buy a new game, you're paying full price whereas you could easily go to Amazon and get something for your troubles) and they desperately try to rip you off at any costs.
They're done and have nothing left to offer except to those who aren't up to date on how to acquire games.

Good, fukk that place
There's a few reasons for it that I can tell
-New games are expensive as fukk nowadays and people are just buying less in general. Back in the day the average ps2 owner would have like 50 fukkin games. Nowadays most average people who own the new generation consoles own what, maybe 5-6 games. It's a combination of games being way more expensive and also having way more replay value now.
-People getting hooked on games like LoL and dota 2 which consumes 95% of their gaming time. Those games are highly addicting and once you're hooked on em you have no desire to really play anything else usually
-Gamestop's trade in bullshiit is a fukking rip off and everyone knows it. brb selling them a game for $3 and they turn around and sell it for $20. u wot m8
-Why go to gamestop for new/used games when there's ALWAYS a better deal somewhere else online.
These useless stores like Gamestop need to get with the times or they're going out of business. They aren't needed anymore.

If you're "into" those games you're either fooling yourself, I'm playing Fallout, or there's something wrong with you. Skyrim was the same thing only with a better setting as Fallout is depressing.
Games are like interactive movies and used to be better than movies. No one would go see a movie, especially over and over, where the character just wanders around doing random things over and over. That's what many games are today and they're boring. I will certainly not run out and pay full price for any game that has been out in the last few years.
I have enjoyed the recent line of Batman games, as there's some kind of story.

Video games sales are not fading, not even close...... Gamestop sales yes, digital sales and other outlets are eating Gamestops market share.

There's literally no reason to go to a gamestop when you can
1: Download games off steam (or other platform), and from the xbox and ps4 stores online
2: Order a physical copy off amazon
3: Grab it at wallmart or some **** while you buy dog food or cheap chit.
The only people I ever see at gamestop are moms with their 9 year old brat kid when I drive by. That's literally the only reason the store exists nowadays: so parents can get their kid videogames.
