One of these days I'm going to go through ashins investing thread, pick out all the stocks he has bought,(not the managed funds, the individual stocks) and see just how badly they have done against the s and p.

Second I'd rather hustle up my 20s and enjoy my success along the way and prosper in my 30s. Besides most people are broke in their 20s.

Enjoy property tax.
Enjoy paying capital gains when you go to sell your property
My father owns several property houses that he rents, it isn't as cracked up as it sounds.

If it's a condo, condo maintenance fees are also tax deducible.
You could also claim any repairs or work done on the property including drive to-and-from there.
The biggest thing to do is invest most of the rental property income into RRSP and poof the negative refund amount disappears

Fukkin lol at ''e-book''. Every time you read up on passive income the first thing you'll find is ''write an e-book''. But who was buy once and then copy the chit out of it.
Also....Start YouTube channel. Ok.jpg. The YouTube game has changed entirely. No fukkin way are you gonna make even a little money without putting out quality content every single day.
You're much better off starting a decent business and making decent money. The real value lies in having time to do what you want to do whenever you want to do it. Not saying you won't have to put a lot of time into your business, but at least you'll be making money for YOU and not for someone else.

You can pretty much guarantee anyone who uses the term 'passive income' doesn't understand money.
There is no such thing in reality, it comes from people who dont think beyond 'having a career' or 'working for someone else'. They also think that just because you're not getting paid your time doesn't cost anything, they also have no idea about the cost of cash, which once youre beyond your first job is more important than any direct earnings.
A few people have already said it in this thread before but often a finite side earnings will negatively impact your earnings long term, hence why you never see rich people doing this.
I would suggest as a starting point for anyone wanting to improve their financials is to completely understand their current situation first. Open up excel and start tracking all the in's and outs. Looks at what interest youre getting in the bank (if any), play with some numbers on buying properly or investing in shares, etc. Determine where it is you want to be and find a way that can do it.
