The thing about a number of british women is that alot of them don't take care of themselves. I look at my high school female friends on ******** and so many of them have ballooned up, or just completely lost it through constant drinking/chit diet/kids and whatever else.

Women of mid 20's age are very attractive. It's the ones that don't take care of themselves that mess up the rating. I'm just as attracted to girls of that age as a number of younger women.

Not really.. I've been out with a few guys my age, even one that was 6 years younger (he fibbed about his real age). I think everyone's different though and from my experience it just depends on how people mesh as a couple. I know guys who are settled with girls their own age, and I know guys who are settled with girls 10-15 years younger than them. I usually say I generally prefer older guys but if I met one that was my age, I wouldn't hesitate to pursue something if I liked them enough

True, but us brits are really bad for it.

I was a bit of a nerd in high school, and even I started drinking weekly at 15. The cooler kids were drinking at 12/13, and some smoking etc. Underage clubbing/heavy partying etc, it will obviously take it's toll on your appearance.

As far as attraction is concerned, only 2 things matter:
-is she legal?
-does she get my dink hard?

That's it. Anything else is background noise.

If you're considering a relationship with a 16 year old (legal in the UK and Spain afaik) then other things come into play like:
-is she mature enough that I want to share my private time with her
-will her parents hurt me or her if they find out

But "will society look down on me" or "will women my age get bitter and judge me" or "will males with crab bucket syndrome judge me" are never part of this discussion whatsoever, those people can take their opinions and shove them up their ass.

I was saying that until I was about abt 22, guys older than me did not try to date (or shag lol) me, even when it seemed like they were attracted. After 22, it seemed to be open season. My conclusion, right or wrong, was that they had some kind of 'wouldn't go there' boundary until I was a 'proper' young adult; no longer a teenager or near it.

(It used to be that 21 was considered full/proper adult in the UK i.e. your folks would give you those tacky keys at 18 but also 21).

Just my experience; I have to say I've always been told I look younger than I am though.
Simple minds need simple answers.

Sure, we find many people attractive. That's not the problem. The problem is how you act on it, and whether you wind up manipulating the younger person because of your gap in age and experience. I think Dan Savage calls it the 'campsite rule.' You can have a relationship with a younger person, but you have to leave them in better shape than you found them.

It seems like a lot to deal with, personally.
