I agree. I think it's easier for people to think there was a linear progression of an advancement of civilization from 4000 years ago to now, with a brief "oopsie-poopsie we forgot to write stuff down" dark ages. More than likely we've had swells of advancement, then steps back, without really improving anything other than the tools we use.

had to google how much a tonne is. US probably the only place that doesn't use the metric system. 1 tonne = 2,205 lb/pounds.

all right then, large amounts of people in nearby communities that's located towards a river built the pyramids. One thing I found odd about the pyramids was no signs of work camps/small villages where people lived in while the pyramid was being made. Same thing with mining/manufacturing towns.
