London is one of the worst cities in the world srs.
Just got back from visiting my mate who lives down there, jesus christ what a hellhole.
Brb the ****ing price of everything. Comes to about 16 for two cocktail drinks and sometimes in excess of 5 for a ****ing pint!
Brb takes forever to get anywhere. Get off at your stop on the tube and you have to walk down a fukn half a mile long tunnel before you get out of the place. My mate lives in a borough called Staines which is an hour out from the city centre. There's no scenery on this hour journey whatsoever, just urban area after urban area after urban area, and council flat buildings. I can go from Liverpool to Manchester in that amount of time and inbetween the cities you pass small towns and rural farm areas.
Brb no culture. The renowned Cockney's of east London have all either been outbred by asian migrants, or moved completely out of the city to Essex. It's rare to speak to a native Londoner because everyone who works the service jobs is a migrant and any white collar Londoner who does work in the city constantly has their head down, fixated on their tablet or smartphone when in public. They all look miserable too.
Brb housing prices. Nothing more needs to be said here.
If you're rich AF to the point where you can afford a chauffeur whenever you go then the city probably isn't that bad for you, but for the average working shmuck it must be completely overwhelming to live in, and even as a tourist destination there's so many places in Britain that are calmer and more cultured than London.
Too crowded (London has a higher population than the entirety of Scotland and Wales), too expensive, too vast... Would not recommend/10

100% agree serious
have been to cities in australia, asia, south america, north america, UK, rest of europe, and london is without a doubt one of the most boring cities i've ever been to.
normally when you get off a plane/bus/whatever in a new country, you smell the air, you see the trees, the people, anything, and it feels fukn good, like holy chit it's different. london - fukn nothing.
for me, it may just be because i'm from sydney. but even then... sydney is basically london, except with beaches, better weather and more attractive people...
not sure if srs london
edit: and just LOL at 'the tube'. brb every fukn londoner is in love with the tube. brb it's actually a disgusting piece of chit. brb crowded, hot, no ventilation, stinks like chit, too small (manmore brah can't even stand up straight), brb waiting for 40 minutes with trains coming every minute because they're all so packed that kunts can't even get in
just fukn lol, literally every other city in europe has a superior metro system
and just LOL at compared to sydney trains - brb plenty of space, everyone can stand up straight and not touch everyone else on the train etc etc

When I was in London, someone stole a book worth 10 pounds from me. I was sitting in an overcrowded area and looked away for not even 2 minutes, look back and the book is gone. Fukin rustled the hell out of me.

Brb lower crime than London
Brb cheaper everything than London
Brb better nightlife
Brb little amount of "cultural enrichment" - our immigration is mainly from ireland and eastern europe
Brb 3 big universities that attract people from all over the country
Brb city is nice and compact. Can get from one end of the city centre to the other just by walking

OP is right. All though i have never been to the Northern part of the UK so can't compare the two. Every other city i have been to in Europe is cleaner, better transport, less crowded, nicer buildings, weather etc

Been to London 3 times. Love going there as a tourist! The history and architecture is awesome. Great shopping, nice museums etc. I also love taking the tube. Best metro system I have encountered. So easy to learn
Never been anywhere in UK besides London though. What places in UK do you guys recommend? Srs

It's a fking dump. I'd happily have everything inside the M25 dug up and dumped in the middle of the Atlantic, the country would be better off for it.

It's like calling south central 'LA'
Try Camden, Highgate, Islington, Putney, Chiswick, the strand, Chelsea, Kensington, Mayfair, Greenwich, etc..
All goat places, no need to go anywhere near the west end (which I won't argue is an overpriced tourist dump)
