I realized my time had been wasted but I put on my pokerface and let me curiosity guide me to confirm the worst.

Looking down at my clipboard writing notes about this guy I ask "what was your most recent compensation".


$30k a year he said.


I stood up and opened the door.

"I'll be in touch" I said as he awkwardly got up and fumbled out the door in his cheap suit.







WTF, Barabara in HR is going to get an ear full for even making me talk to a 30k/yr earner who clearly should not have been there.



Anyone else had this happen?

First off OP you are an ass. You dont know where this dude comes from. When I started out I was excited to make 30K. Now years later making over 100k as a network engineer. Never underestimate someones ability due to their salary expectations.

Tip of the day! never undervalue yourself, if you do potential employers like Mr Watt's will wonder why you value your work so poorly this will supersede any other good qualities you have and will effectively terminate the interview.
