lol at this thread

Yes work can suck. I have done big commutes, big hours but now its

Earn 100k+ before I get out of bed (passive income)

Current job is typically like this (ie today)
9 - wake up, shower
9:30, log on to laptop, answer emails, as I watch shark tank on youtube and eat my bacon and eggs
10:30 - start doing some work
12:30, go into town and work from town office this afternoon

commute is 20 mins each way. I can work from home as I please - unless I have meetings

Pretty easy when the majority of your day is spent taking anger out on a keyboard and not real physical labor except for the hour or so at the gym before going home. Even when I'm up around 7am, I still don't go to sleep until midnight. My wife takes like 2-3 naps per day almost...pretty sure she was a sloth in her past life.

my typical day:

6:20 - wake up and eat
7:00 - leave for work
7:40 - arrive at work, take a dump, surf the internet, drink a coffee etc
8:00 - work begins
3:45 - leave work (I usually leave 15 minutes early cuz I can)
4:35 - arrive home from work

from 4:45 to 8:30 pm I do whatever the fk I want, right now though I am studying at the same time but if I wasn't I would have that free time. Do chores, watch TV, etc. Then at 8:30 I go to the gym, counting commute times I usually get home by around 11, take a 15 minute shower, check computer then go to sleep at 11:30-12. I don't go to the gym everyday either, lol so that's more free time.

and lol at 8 hours of sleep. I usually get by on 6 and a half to 7. and lol @ working 9 hours a day. And lol @ 2 hour commutes. Mine isn't exactly amazing (90 minutes each day) but damn lol.

You can have plenty of time for chit working a regular 9-5

No OP, that is not what the real world is like.

If that's what it's like for you, then it's just a reflection of a lifetime of poor choices.

Better luck next life if you're not smart enough to work it out.

Go to the gym in the morning breh, opens up your evenings for whatever you like to do (fap, cry, fist yourself etc. etc. etc.).

So write off the first part of your day, get home by 17:30-18:00 and the rest of the day is yours until you have sleep at 21:30-22:00.

You get weekends and paid holiday too so don't off yourself just yet.

What job are you doing brah? I think I've come to the realization that 3 12's are the only way to living a happy life. Would rather kill myself for 3 days a week and get 4 days off then kill myself for 5 days a week with only 2 days off. Literally no difference between an 8 hour shift and a 12 hour shift, your day is fukked regardless.

Any jobs other than nursing that do 3 12's?

Typical day for me:

-into work by 8
-hour lunch, walk my dog
-off at 5
-gym after work, done by 6:30
-home by 7
-chill and kick it until 11/midnight.
This. Plenty of time for me time even with a wife and kid.

I have the best commute ITT. Just walk across the road. It's amazing. Can go back home during lunch and eat/nap/fap in peace.

I'm a part time grad student too.

-6:30am wakeup (miscing while sipping coffee crew)
-8am-5pm in the office generally, maybe 1-2hrs extra during busy season
-5-6pm Run or Gym
-6-7pm dinner
-7-8pm relax or study or self improvement project
-Sleep by 11pm
-Class all day alternate weekends

Unless you got errands or a social occasion it's actually not too bad. its been stressful this year due to school but is temporary and helps my career.

LOLed at OP's 1hr for chores. I save that like once a week on Sunday for laundry and clean up and chit once a month.

Of course we all want to escape the rat race and I'm actively building passive income streams. But until I make the next Tinder, it'll take more than a decade of investing before I can escape. Plus not everyone works for a souless corporation lol. I work at a non profit healthcare system. Pay is lower but benefits are great. Just will take me longer to invest compared to for profit wage slaves.

lmao what is this nonsense sh*t. While easier said than done, thats why hourly rate is most important with work.

My example schedule

Wake up @ 10am-10:30am (I work nights)
Meditate 10:30am-10:45am
Eat 10:45am-11:15am
Gym (5 minute drive) 11:50am-1pm
Post Workout + Next Meal + Whatever the fk I want (Usually online poker or working on side hustle, cleaning maybe) 1:05pm - 4:15pm (Or 1:05pm - 6:15pm)
Work (15 min away) - 5pm - 11pm or 7pm - 1am
Meditate 11:15pm - 11:30 pm or 1:15am - 1:30am
Shower - 11:30pm - 11:40pm or 1:30am - 1:40am
Sleep Usually anywhere from 1-3am - 10-1030am feelin refreshed as fuark.

Here was my latest work schedule

8am wake
8-830 get "ready" for work/eat/etc.
830-9 commute to work
9-530 work
530-615 commute home (yes drive home takes longer than drive to work)
615-645 dinner prep/eat
645-7 chill/gym prep
7-730 commute to gym (sometimes this is closer to an hour due to location of gym being on awful congested road)
730-830 gym
830-9 drive home
9-945 protein shake, shower, eat
930-1130 get stuff ready for work tomorrow, any chores/house stuff i need to do, chill finally
1130 get in bed, lord knows when I will actually fall asleep.

So yeah out out of that whole day I'd say I have 2-4 hours of truly "free" time if you consider the gym free time

The GOAT dream life! $75k+ from passive income is my end goal. Anymore than that would be the cherry on top.

You invested in real estate right? About how long did it take to grow your empire and side ventures? Takes a lot of starting capital? I'm 27yo saving to buy my first condo, will move every 2yrs and rent out, rinse repeat. Hope to have 4-5 properties by age 40yo. I'm trying to build affiliate network sites too. Otherwise putting most of my play money into investing in funds and 401k/IRA

For me, I like being in a routine. I live a 2 miles away from work and in the warm months I ride my bike. I also have 3 weeks of vacay that I spread around and maximize time. I usually have roughly 5-6 hours of freetime after working a full time 8-5.
Even if we did end up with a universal basic income or an overabundance of resources or whatever I think people would still work and hustle. It is what we as males are programmed to do, we create a hierarchy in society and then we try to climb that. We have enough resources and technology to feed, clothe and shelter the entire world now (the only actual needs aside from healthcare) and yet 3 billion people are still living on <$2 a day. Just accept it for what it is and embrace the fact that most males were born to work.

It might be fun to play CoD or World of Warcraft 16 hours a day (or whatever the fuk you want to do with all that spare time) but it will grow old pretty quick and you will not grow as a person.

Working gives you mental stimulation, challenges and forces you to grow - it increases your self-esteem and feelings of self-worth in the process also.
