Above the knee is purely for ego most the time, let's be honest... Especially cringe-worthy when they bounce every rep off the rack. Absolutely pointless.

Below the knee for sure.

Is that a question? I wouldn't know, would I? You sipping Minute Maid? That'll make your traps and upper back pop. Doing shrugs/rows/deadlifts? It's a bit of a multi-faceted explanation I'd think.

I always pull about 1 inch below my knee. Anything higher is almost like a power shrug.

There's no one right answer and that depending on your levers. For most, within a couple inches of the knees in either direction. I found just above the knee was the sweet spot when I did regular rack pulls. At below the knees, for most, might as well just pull from the floor, but goals play a part there to. PL goals vs say bbing goals and so forth.

Well below the knee is a slightly easier version of a deadlift and is for people recovering from injury or those with mobility issues. Above the the knee is more aimed towards mid to upper back, and in fact works wanders for back and traps, especially with a hold at the top.

Can be viewed as "ego lifting" by guys that can't see the science in the lift. I personally do above the knee for mid and upper back work. Below when I'm preparing for a heavy deadlift, or when I had injury. Can also be below knee if you have mobility issues and can't complete conventional deadlift.

I prefer right below the knee near mid-tibia.

What's the point of keeping it so high above the knees? All you do is build up pressure and you barely even stretch anything. Its also dependent on your shoulder position (rolled forward, back, neutral). IMO, everyone is different and if you can hit the right areas with your chit form, then fuk it.

edit: I prefer it this way because my lower back is jacked up. My traps are decently sized and upper back is already wide, so I prefer emphasis on my glutes and lower back.

Have you already had experiences/results in middle/upper back area with the rack pulls above the knee? Wanna add them to my routine

Because you're still doing "work." Got NADA (NOTHING) to do with your deadlift-if you even have one. That's exactly why your deadlift stills ranks in the Women's division only............
