Will be getting in on this. I have a buddy who hit a 500 lb bench with 2 second pause should inform him of this lol

Hit 342 in competition w/ a few lbs left on the platform, went 3/3 on bench but it's definitely different than in the gym. Not the same bar you're used to so gotta feel out your grip on the fly, calibrated kilo plates, and all the other factors of a meet. Went 314-330-342. In hindsight, if I went something like 308-325-350 i'm pretty sure it would've been there but I can't complain. It was my first meet. Will post the vid later.

In the bench comp you put on last year I hit 315 in the gym, so still pretty pleased with 342 in competition a year later or so.

Watching these videos now so stand-by for the editsIf your name, weight lifted, bodyweight, and video are the only things I leave in this post, it means your lift is good and I am getting ready to do the copy and paste thing to the leaderboard lol.

I wish I could just hold 455 on my chest for that long and then still push it like a warm upIn fact I wish I could do that with 355. Solid plug on the chiro service. You own it/work it? Or did they help you out?

I'm pretty sure Hammy will put up more than that before this is over.

So, my pause isn't as long as you prefer either, but I gotta post at least one entry, 100#. I did weigh fully clothed with lifting shoes on, but I am solidly in the over 185 class nekkid. Hammy put up the first strong entry, I will put up the first weak oneSorry if I did anything wrong, I didn't think I had singles planned for today until I got to the gym and didn't have a chance to review the rules. DQ this entry if you need to!

Would have put up one for 105 but first forgot to continue recording my plates and paper and then I missed 110. I'll work on at least 110 by the end of the contest. Hammy Hammy Hobbes put up the first strong entry in the women's group and I'll put up the first weak entry at 55% of my body weight....

Good for 100@191

How tall are you? That bar looked like it took a long ass trip to the top.

lol it is funny you say something like this. The first few competitions I tried to get it to where one of the Supp Companies would sponsor the Overall Winners or something like that(if the winners and the company agreed that the people were good fits, of course) but I could never get one to bite

I figured the Company could toss some cool stuff the OW's way for a while and the OW would rep the Company's products in some strong as fuk videos for that same time.

20 years ago I had just gotten 315. Took me 20 years to get this far. Of course I took my 20's off and started hitting it hard when I turned 30.

Throw a lift up anyway! The way I see it, any lift is better than no lift. There's a lot of guys who can bench 2x their bodyweight, so I fully expect to get blown out of the water, but it's always good to know where you stand. Gives you something to work towards

Thanks a lot man! Next time ill prob space the attempts out better to maximize my third attempt. 350 was def. there on this day, but i spaced my attempts pretty close together. It's kinda a game of strategy lol. Not even mad though. I was shocked at how few people hit all 3 attempts on bench. Ill pm u when they post the results. It'd be cool if this misc comp had classes like junior/open/master but theres prob not enough entries to have age groups.

Benching 3 times a week per Sheiko comp prep right now. Hit 335 again today
I hate you so much... The state record for raw bench press at 18 is 360lbs. Last time I did it I did 245lbs. I've been benching twice a week as of late hoping to work on it some more. 3 plates is my goal one day.
