I said that's what my reaction would be (in comparison to the reaction you assumed);
not that it would work lol

Anyway; depends how heavy she is, if she can brace her legs against the wall, how strong you are, how long you have to hold on before someone else helps grab her (if there's anyone within distance) etc. etc. I'm used to grabbing people and dragging them up and over the side of boats; but the buoyancy helps you a lot there.

You wouldn't be able to get to something to cushion her fall and drop it over the side fast enough (that's if it even landed below her; unlikely).

Your only other option is to let her drop without even trying; against most peoples' instincts (except that Kuwaiti woman's of course).

This happened a few times a week when I lived in Kuwait..and I lived in the city. The newspaper always labeled them suicides...and many of them were pregnant.

to be honest america is becoming like this as well, where people just film people who need help or dying to try to get fame and money. Extreme poverty is taking away humanity of people , no opportunity , terrible education system, etc. People become lost souls with no feelings. how many miscers know what a trust fund is, 401k, investing information, bank bonds. The system teaches you nothing says get good grades, memorize test questions, go to college in extreme debt, come out work your way up to 70-100k and still have debt until your 50-60 years old.

How many people know they can write short stories , or info books and sell them on amazon? Did you know you can send a stock of items to amazon and they will list as prime and sell from there warehouses for a fee? Did you know you can get funding on a idea you have from kickstarter? Did you know you could flip a house for profit with a bank loan? Do you know you can flip sells on ebay by analyzing sell data? Did you know you can pay 30$ for a domain and start a 30 day free trial online shop selling your products?Imagine if you knew this information before going to college. instead of a college loan you could have got a business loan selling necklaces and rings on amazon and be making 100-200k a year if not more with good quality product.

Free advertisment platforms instagram, snapchat, twitter, youtube you can talk to people and actually show your quality of product and the value.

Yup there are lots of stories about abuse over there, makes sense considering how bad they treat women over there - let alone a foreign peasant woman

slavery has been going on for thousands of years in that area. it's not just inclusive to maids but other areas of the word force too. they hire pakistanis, filipinos, indians to work on their construction projects and treat them worse that animals. they are caged up and forced into indentured survitude because they pay them low wages for long hours, force them to live in cages and charge them for it, and practically work them to death. their immigrant work force are expendable; one dies, a recruiter will bring in another body that got suckered in by promises of good wages.

What if you knew that people were gonna accuse you of throwing her over the edge or something if she eventually fell?

That woman would not have been able to pick her back up over the ledge. So at the very best she would have just prolonged the inevitable fall

This. Lady filming couldn't do anything about it, even if she wasn't Kuwait piece of chit and she tried to help the maid there is nothing she could of have done. U think an average woman can pull 180lb? Hell, even i would have to try hard to pull her up from that position. She didn't kill her, she is just a psychopath and filmed her instead of trying to do something

Honestly don't think anyone normal of either gender wouldn't instinctively try to grab her/reach out to her - even if you knew it was likely to fail cause your reach wouldn't be long enough, you couldn't get a hold or you wouldn't be strong enough.

(My hope would be that if someone , ideally 2 people, got a hold of her and got her (partly) out of the hanging on by finger-nails position, and lifted up up a little, she could maybe use her legs the way you naturally do when you're trying to haul yourself up something; but it's all conjecture now.

Poor girl; hope the human rights folks swing something for her now she's a high profile case (not that that'd help all the others).

Most of the Indians in the Emirates profit going there to work for two years. Especially the situation of the workers on construction has has improved a lot in countries like ***** and Abu Dhabi in recent years. The Sheiks are trying to attract tourists. They could not risk the nbad press mistreating workers brought.
The problem with the maids stays though. Privacy is valued really high cultures that have their women wear burkas. The police has not yet found ways to control what is going on in inside households.
