Not even saying that as a "good ol days", but in my decade here and saying it has sucked at various times, this is probably the gayest misc has ever been. What is the opposing view? It's the one I had before visiting the misc. And yes I was much happier then but I can't get myself to ignore realities. To go back to how I used to be before the misc, I would need to trick myself into believing that which is not true.

You being happier before isn't necessarily relevant. The issue is that the misc portrays the world as a decaying place on the brink of destruction where men are vulnerable and all women are out to get you. If you believe that in theory, and you may be more likely to believe it if you feel like you haven't had the chances you feel like you deserve in life, you'll start looking at everything under that lens. And then you're stuck and angry, full of hate and contempt for a lot of people.

You don't need to trick yourself into believing that which is not true. You just have to realize that "truths" are rare, that things are a matter of perspective, and keep an open mind when you are presented with information yet be able to look at it critically. My personal test is that if I agree unconditionally with any specific view, then I am probably biased or not thinking about it hard enough.

Spending more time out in the real world does it for me.

There's a lot of truth to what you hear on the Misc, but it's going to be a little more skewed towards one extreme. People rarely talk about whenever things are going okay or going well, but you always hear about the negative chit, so much like the news makes the world seem worse than it actually is, so does a place like Misc. Another thing is that generally speaking, the socially accepted narrative outside of the Misc is the more optimistic, "blue pilled" one, so naturally places like Misc are going to be a little extreme because to cut through that dominant narrative (which is deeply instilled in people), you can't dilute the message or keep focusing on exceptions to the rule because there's enough of that in the media, coming from society, on other sites, etc.

The problem comes when you spend too much time on Misc without going out into the real world. Humans (and just about everything) can be easily generalized, and it's natural to do this, but human interaction is still dynamic and has a lot of complexities. When you're not exposed to real interaction and just Misc all day, then suddenly a group like women, for example, only exists in your head as some one dimensional idea. They become nothing more than an imaginary construct, which your ego designed for the sole purpose of validating your beliefs (in this case, Misc beliefs), so you're only going to imagine them in such a way. You see the reverse on sites like Reddit, where neckbeards and loners don't have much exposure to girls, so girls really only exist as an idea, except that what they know about girls consists of all of the beta chit like "not all girls are like that!" "looks don't matter, just be yourself!" and all that feel good chit. They don't have experience with girls to understand why their beta/white knight beliefs are inaccurate.

Reality acts as a buffer. Most girls aren't going to seem as angelic and pure as Redditor types see them, nor are most of them going to seem as callous and slooty as Miscers make them out to be. Life is a shade of gray and you need real interaction to temper your beliefs and keep you grounded.

You have to look at it from one way op.
The Misc is a place where variety of people from many different life experiences and backgrounds come into one.

But from what everyone has experienced may it be the daily life , Relationships , Money , CEO grind .
You have to consume this information as just information. Yes it is true some things happen a lot like a cycle but you just have to be on the look out.

Do not be afraid to form relationships make money take risks but make sure there is no way you can get screwed over in a situation in the end of everything that you get involved in life.

Also fuk depression in the end it wont matter so have fun because once we die and turn into nothingness or be with god or be burning downstairs with the devil.

Most people use denial as a coping mechanism, which is just as unhealthy but it allows you to function somewhat day to day

The problem with denial is that eventually it bursts and you deal with all the depression in one big blast that will probably lead to a suicide attempt

The people here are not phucked up. The world is phucked up and the people here just don't know how to cope with it.

It's not like real life is any different from a lot of the chit being spilled out here. You can see many of the misc concepts materialize in real life as you are socializing with people and talking to others.

I don't get why people think real life people are different.
