No kids, great career, basket case probably yes, hence the story I just told you. I fake it well though, don't think he noticed how insecure I was. I would freak out and then pull myself together two seconds before meeting up with him. The issue was more that he was jaded from his two previous relationships and wanted to take things super slow and that just didn't work for me.
You are right, women go all out investigating the guy's life and past. Don't worry about your ex being too hot though, it might make your next girlfriends insecure but they won't leave you over it.

He was still invested in her for sure. He did a lot for her right away like took her on a trip a week after meeting her, took her to a family's wedding a month later, paid for her dogs surgery (she was poor) and then out of nowhere she decided they weren't compatible and left him cold. He was crushed over it and more pissed off on the investment - emotional and financial - than he was in love with her. So he still wanted to find someone else but take things super slow and in my mind I was like: he took her on a trip after a week, been with me 4 months and haven't taken me anywhere, he must have liked her more. Introduced her to the family after a month, I still haven't met the family, etc etc. I kept comparing myself to her and feeling awful about it. It didn't help that he talked about her constantly.
He is still single as far as I can tell from ******** lol. I have met someone though.
We met in July last year and broke up in October.
