-government funding (if they still get any) does not go to abortion services
-seems to me the guy was showing some initiative drumming up VOLUNTARY support for the cause instead of just whining on social media

I agree, society needs to compromise on this, abortion is morally and ethically wrong. People need to take responsibility for their actions. If you can't afford baby, use contraception and condoms or don't have sex.

I meant what I said, thatallof their services should be privately funded. I'm not going to sit here and argue about whether they should be funded while x is being funded. I don't care.

It's easy to do, and takes even less time to just not include them on the budget.

They do. It's called a church. I've seen them do it and beg for the woman to let them rather than abort. The women don't listen in most cases and go through with the abortion.

The personal responsibility to not get pregnant is bound to the man and woman though.

Abortion, STD, contraceptive services provided by PP are all very important.

But miscers are too busy typing e-stats into their sigs to go educate themselves. And understand what a huge financial burden having children is even when one is in the position to allow themselves to take care of a child.

Why is abortion the only thing people bring up when it comes to planned parenthood when it's by far the smallest volume service that they offer? As a dude, I would think you'd actually WANT women to be able to go get exams, birth control, etc.

They do. It's called sexual education and it's one of the many services that PP provides. In addition to sexual education they offer STI screening and treatment, Pap smears, Cervical cancer screening, breast cancer screening, condom distribution, contraception (IUD, Nexplanon, Plan B, etc), adoption referrals, etc.

i'll take it a step further and say that there's no such thing as right to life.

legally, sure. in your moral code, likely.

but 'right to life' is just a fukn made-up concept, stemming from the creation of society, and founded on the bullchit (but fundamental to our civilisation) idea that humans are some magical, sacred being, created specially by some divine presence.

kinda annoyed at anyone who walks on the sidewalk downtown asking for money, regardless of the cause. chits annoying AF to be asked for spare change multiple times a day, every day. I'm kinda religious and I think abortion is a good thing, but I don't believe in Planned Parenthood. From what I understand, their cash flows are very large and they can get by without tax dollars. They don't need pitty sidewalk donations IMO and why someone would feel so strongly to stand on the corner begging for money for a financially healthy organization is something I will never understand.
