Why wouldn't it have? The maps shows values from 0,1% to 1,4%. Eliminate 4 states with the higest rate and values are from 0,1% to 0,9%. I don't see any significant difference.

Maybe the question is why is Iowa so bad at identifying children with autism?

As autism rates have soared in U.S. special education programs, the number of children labeled with "intellectual disabilities" has fallen, suggesting that much of the increased autism comes from shifting diagnoses.

Autism was detectable from over 1000 years ago... it just had different names at different times. No way a change of 'diagnoses' made such a huge impact from 1999 to ~2006ish.

Well if you look at the 1999 chart I first posted, Iowa was no different then other states... something happened! Who will guess what?

What huge change? 0,4% decrease from 2004 to 2009. Can not compare to 1999, it has nothing to do with 1999.

Oh yes, your nutrition provides you with such a strong defence against Hep B, diphtheria, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella etc etc. Not.

Well nutrition and basic hygiene... why else has the mountain number of deaths dropped so drastically before vaccinations?

The rate of autism went negative compared to all the other states. prior to that its rate of autism was comparable to other states. Maybe someone else can explain it for you. Im off to bed,

p.s. Being originally born in Iran, I never received a vaccine as a child.

You are mixing two graphs together.

Is that even 0,4% or 0,4 per 100.000...?

I am for the minimum necessary vaccines. Im definitely not for blasting an infant with 75 different vaxs. I am one of those guys that never gets sick and never have had a flu shot. I will continue that trend. Everyone in the engineering department passed around the flu and I didn't catch it and I was in the same room, all day, with the heat blasting.

I am not an anti-vaccine but the worlds foremost genetic researchers advise parents to halt vaccines immediately when going through genetic testing...There is a reason for their recommendation.

In addition have a short chat with virtually ANY pediatric therapist and ask them their experience with vaccines. I know dozens of pediatric therapist (our best friend owns a clinic) and 100% of them will tell you a reoccurring story about kids having significant health issues right after vaccines. Some never recover. The number of instances are too great to ignore. Most therapist I know have chosen to delay vaccines or avoid. That's not a coincidence and their real world experience does not make them a "tin foil hat" wearing idiot.

YES...The kids I've mentioned are medically fragile and yes the benefits to the whole of society probably outweigh the risk. To stick your head in the sand and state there vaccines are "good" or there isnt data to suggest that they have serious repercussions is just ridiculous. Its why I support peoples rights to their own decision and anyone that calls someone stupid for delaying, staggering or avoiding vaccines is short sided. How sure are you that your kid isnt medically fragile and that vaccine wont push them over the edge for a life long series of health and or mental difficulties? Your call...Hope you make the right choice.

I worked with a woman who got every. single. vaccine. that ever came along.

She was, and I assumed still is, the sickest, most lethargic person I've ever met. Nose was always red and running, always plugged up, always low energy, always tired, sick every month. She lived like everyone else, but got a needle every time a new one was available.

Vaccines? I haven't had one in the past 20 years and I'm as healthy as an aurochs.

I don't think getting every new thing that comes along is the wisest.

But there are important ones, and even if vaccinated people are more sickly (only ever heard anecdotes about this) I would prefer everyone had a cold a bit more often than polio make a come back.

If only personal anecdotes were used as a basis for establish cause and correlation.

Meh. There is a wealth of data suggesting that there is severe cause for concern with society wide vaccination

OP irritates me because he is very likely an idiot liberal who thinks he is an authority on a number of topics that he is woefully misinformed about. Are vaccines the spawn of satan? Well there is not a ton of data supporting such assertions but thats not to believe that there is merit to the negative press they're getting.

I find that the vitriolic shouting down of anyone who is skeptical of vaccination makes me more likely to side with the conspiracy theorists.

It doesnt matter if the two graphs use different math equations... all you need to understand is that prior to 2004-2009 autism in Iowa had the same rate as other states (you can find your own graphs to verify this) but inbetween 2004-2009 the autism rate drastically changed!
The state of Iowa didnt 'win' the jackpot or discover diamond mines for its citizens to become rich and change their life styles all of a sudden. They didnt stop imports of food from the outside to have this change... they didnt make vitamins mandatory for everyone to eat for this great change, a miracle water spring wasnt discovered... something changed in the state to lessen autism. What is Iowa hiding from the rest of America?

edit
this is why

So it vas the additives for preservation in vaccines not the vaccines themselves? They banned them for mercury levels nothing else.

As for the drastic change you claim read this:https://blog.heapanalytics.com/how-t...visualization/
Not saying the graphs lie, but can be very misleading.

Stop using "common sense" here, it doesn't work, the subject is very complex.

They took out the mercury, which is highly toxic of course (and this reduced the autism rate to be one of the countries lowest, if not lowest) but its only a reduction and Iowa/system still continues to harm children.
... a relatively tiny percentage of people, even in first world countries, fully understand the consequences of injecting the harmful and toxic substances found in today's vaccine and the LIFETIME damage - especially neurological and vascular damage - that is inflicted upon the body when vaccines are injected. This is not hyperbole or exaggerated rhetoric. It's empirical, laboratory-proven fact and too few people know those facts, as the government, Big Pharma, and Zion's Media Machine incessantly inculcate PR myths and shibboleths about the "benefits" of vaccines that is 180 degrees out of phase with reality. .

Dr. Andrew Moulden was one of the most educated and knowledgeable experts in the world on the damaging physiological effects of vaccines when injected into the human body. He had more post-graduate degrees than a thermometer. Who continues to attend post-graduate school, year in year out, for 15 years AFTER earning his medical degree-- and graduating Magna cum laude? HE did.

He produced a remarkable documentary video series in 2009 on the arterial, vascular damage that occurs when vaccines --ANY vaccine -- is injected into the human body. He called his series "Tolerance Lost." He proved with photo enlargements of microscopic arterial networks in the brain that ISCHEMIA (clotting that clogs up the openings into the tiniest capillary networks in the brain, that cuts off OXYGEN to those regions) is created throughout the arterial microcapillary system due to the body's hyper-immune reaction to the toxins in vaccines. Ischemia in the brain is what causes most of the neurological damage that normally can plague you for a lifetime (although, it is possible to undo vaccine damage in many cases with natural therapies including homeopathy and detoxification techniques as practiced by Dr Rashid Buttarhttp://educate-yourself.org/vcd/drbu...w25nov09.shtml

"Vaccines are toxic and give you autism"

"Vaccines are per reviewed and they cannot be questioned"
(^ srs that is a summary of FB comments on the issue)

And like alot of complex issues, the truth prob lies somewhere in between;
Vaccines are necessary right now while we figure it out, but lets look deeply into this as there could be a downside

Cool, a post full of anecdotes regarding a scientific subject that is exhaustively researched and supported.

Sometimes a vaccine will cause a hypersensitivity reaction, rarely, or in cats an injection site sarcoma which is also rare. If you have pediatricians that are anti vax, that's both scientifically ignorant and medically unethical and I know I'd like to have their names to submit to a medical board.

I dont believe such a reviewed study exists... but there are always people like Rayzor84 (note he has no answers to counter my points) that will blindly follow "medical procedures" to harm and kill people if given a doctoral position. Some doctors know what theyre doing but dont want to give up losing their license and "prestige"... and of course theres the money and paid vacations.

Here is an article from an actual autism organization that explains why the study linking the two was wrong. Also has multiple in paper citations and references showing no link.

Tho I'm sure these won't be sufficient for that troll up top, but then again you can't fix stupid.

Thimerosal is and was mostly used in vaccines... why was its last testing of autism done in the 1920's and on children already dying of meningitis?

Also link us those articles you claim from your link.

Incase you havent actually read the thread, why do infants need the Hep B vaccines. Waiting on your wisdom (although Im going to sleep soon) or your ignorance and brainwashed ineptness.
