I can certainly understand a parent's love for their child no matter what they do. But justifying their horrible actions is another thing altogether. I would not defend my kids if they did something like that. I would still love them, but not defend them.

Some new sportsters are pretty slick if you want an around town cruiser. The "Forty-Eight" models are super popular right now.
They have the old school look and can easily be modded to look really cool.

However if you're wanting to ride more than 100 miles straight I would pass on the sportsters. They aren't the best riding bikes for longer distances.

People believe (whether it's true or not) that their kids are a reflection of them or their abilities as a parent. That's why parents like to brag about their kids when they're good at sports, or when they grow up to be a doctor, or whatever. It's also why they swear the kid was so good and _____ (insert some random outside force in their life) caused this to happen. That is, if they're even willing to get past complete denial of their kid doing it.

Just my 2 cents.

Frustrating range trip today. Shot my shield for the first time, ran 100 bullets through it and then 30 hollow points. During the 3rd magazine (I took 12 magazines loaded with 6 each), I'd pull the trigger while one was in the chamber and nothing would fire. I took the one in the chamber out and put another in and it still didn't fire, took the mag out put it back in, tried again, nope. What I noticed was the round in the magazine was sticking out a bit. When I'd push it back into the magazine while keeping the one already in the chamber, it would fire when I'd pull the trigger but if I didn't push the round in the magazine back, the one in the chamber wouldn't fire.

WTF..

also tried shooting at paper with playing card sized targets since I thought I did good with the shield, completely off lmao. Tried the Canik on it and had the best grouping with it (I tried shooting 5 rounds at a time, not rapid fire), but the best grouping wasn't intended for that dang card. It all hit on the card to the right of it.

More practice soon come. Talked to the older guy who works at the range and he gave me some tips, will follow.

sounds like the magazine springs need broken in. did you try taking one round out of each mag and see if the same problem continued?

Yeah, kinda chitty, but no need to rush it. BLM land closes during the summer (about to close next month) so I'd have to hump my chit out there which I don't really like doing. Plus I'll be climbing a lot so won't have as much time to shoot anyway. I'll just take that time to start stocking up on ammo and use the savings to put towards that.

On a side note, I was riding on a twisty turny road on a mountain side and there was a guy on a street bike in oncoming traffic. He was hauling ass through the turn pretty good because his bike was leaned over to the point where he was almost scraping his knee. He still managed to take his hand off the clutch and wave. WTF m8. I never waved back when random dudes on bikes just mysteriously waved at me. Sold my bike after the fun wore off
