Sure why not. I did the FMF thing for a few months before and as long as everyone is extremely secure and all 3 of you stay loyal to each other then it could work fine.

In my case though I was the variable since the 2 girls were best friends/roommates for years prior to adding me to the mix.


Having a poly relationship essentially just boils down to 3 things:Security, Scheduling, and Passion.
If you don't have 1 of these 3 elements then itWILL NOTwork for you.

Security
You need to be secure in each other enough to understand the boundaries of the relationship and respect those boundaries. Communication is key here and goes hand-in-hand with having a secure relationship, even in traditional relationships.

Scheduling
All of your schedules need to coincide to be able to have date nights, play time, separate time with friends, etc. This is really no different than a traditional relationship except you'd be surprised how much more difficult it is to line up 3 people's schedules as opposed to just 2.

Passion
All 3 of you have to have chemistry with each other and there has to be a good balance of it. If two people have more chemistry then it will basically phase the 3rd person out and they'll feel exiled/ghosted, etc. By having great chemistry it also makes the sex that much better.

I concur, I like some excitement sometimes but that's crossing the line for sure, you can't go that far and still have a good relationship.
