No, from shooting. Bullet hits a rock, sparks, and the dry grass will catch. I know two different guys in Utah who have done it, but they noticed it pretty quick and stamped out the fire. **** makes me paranoid though.

I think the biggest fire danger is from quads and dirt bikes and stuff, which is probably why they say no vehicles.

He's armed with facts to support his stance on things in his interviews, and willing to hear facts that are against his position. It's honestly odd to hear him concede at times when someone presents evidence he hadn't heard and he isn't embarrassed to say he may have been wrong.

I'm in the East Valley area and google said 2 hour drive to U of A, but I would've been on i10 right now with rush hour traffic. So add on 15-30 minute to that.

Dunno. Shot 600 with a 4x the other weekend. I was thinking 3.5-15x or 4.5-20 as well. I was thinking more mag than what I have on the M14, but I've also been really happy with that setup, so I don't know. I guess the main reason for using an ACOG would be the BDC reticle and dual illumination.

Higher mag obviously makes target acquisition easier, but I'm not trying to pick out some absurdly small object at some absurd range. I think that the longest range I'll have regular access to starting in June is going to be 200 yds.
