It's DAO but the take up is super light all the way until the wall. I'm pretty sure you can convert the SK to LEM. How does the SK size compare to the shield 45? I am picking a shield 45 tomorrow and have been considering picking up an sk down the road.

I didn't have the P30SK long, got rid of it. I don't even think I had it a month, just didn't like it. The 45 Shield is materially shorter, thinner and lighter than the SK; with 8 rounds of .45 vs. 11 rounds of 9mm. I highly prefer the Shield at this point. I mentioned before that I shot some 185g +P Golden Saber .45 out of it, and it was noticeably punchy compared to regular 230g, but very manageable.

Thanks for the info you have the shield in the other calibers correct? would you be able to pocket carry the shield in 9mm. I plan on getting one pretty much just for that for the gym. I shot my friends but I dont really remember the dimensions.

I have a 9mm with tritium night sights, a .40 Performance Center, and a .45 Performance Center. The 9mm and the .40 are identical in size and even use the same fitted holsters. The .45 is just a tad larger. For pocket carry I go with various .380s or a Kahr CM9. The 9mm Shield is too big for me to pocket carry, but that's a personal preference. I guess if you have bigass pockets maybe and don't mind being spotted. I AIWB all of them comfortably.

Most will tell you the Shield is a little large for pocket carry. The G43 is a bit smaller, it's kind of on the borderline and is just barely too big, or just barely small enough, for most people.

Nice thanks I'll probably go LCP2 for the pocket then I think my friend said the same thing when I asked about pocket carrying it. Which is your favorite probably going to pick up atleast one more before the rebate ends.

Maybe I'll look into the 43 then I would much rather stick with 9mm as I plan on selling my pocketlite therefore getting out of 380. Thanks

I used to pocket carry my shield.

It can be done if you're wearing cargo shorts or some loose fitting jeans. But there was a lot of clothes I didn't wear because of pocket carrying. Only real time I worried about printing was when sitting. Switched to IWB, can easily conceal it with anything I wear.DEFINITELY DONT THINK YOU CAN POCKET CARRY IT INTO A GYM THOUGH.way to big and bulky in a pocket to be doing exercises lel

LCP is the best mouse gun to pocket carry. I forget it's there most of the time. I mean, it's tiny. Much better than a Pocketlite, I carried one of those for over 10 years before good micro .380s came out. A Kahr CM9 isn't my favorite but it is a 9mm that can easily be pocket carried.

I like all the Shields. Buy one based on your caliber preference. I like the Hi-Viz fiber optic sights on the Performance Centers, and the improved triggers. But also like the tritium sights on the 9mm. Maybe I'll get a 9mm Performance Center just to round it out. I'm not too worried about the ported barrel.

I put my shield in the cargo pocket of my shorts last night as I was going to walk my dog. Didn't even make it to the end of my driveway before I said fuk this. Too heavy swinging around down there.

New holster and grips.

Holster is an RTI mount OWB holster, was looking for one of these for a CZ75 for a while. It's a great holster, used it at Rio Spring Steel.

Meh, there are only so many things that could have gone wrong, I'm not scared of paying a little more. I taught myself how to work on cars and have worked on farm equipment worth more than most houses, I think I can eventually figure this out.
