- Poverty beach with car noise and city right next to you (visited someone with house 'on the beach', just lol, and paid 3x price of house on a decent beach)
- Dirty as phuck/looks like everything is 10 years behind on maintenance despite tax man everywhere
- Traffic all the **** over the place
- Fukin polluted ass air smells like **** all the time
Just a few more things I thought of when I saw thred. Used to live in the northeast and don't even like to go back to visit friends/family. Only good place is philly and that is only to get philly cheese steak.

-one of the best job markets in the country (correspondingly low unemployment rate); finance, accounting, biotech, medical, law, tech startups, etc. are all here; i feel poor making low six figures compared to my friends
-great suburbs with excellent school systems (Newton, Brookline, Weston, Wellesley); good place to raise a family
-clean city and clean air; not sure what the other miscers are talking about, Boston is not dirty
-safe; ever since the Marathon bombing the city has their sh*t locked down tight
-nice weather from May-September and have access to beaches in NH, Maine, Cape Cod
Cons
-biggest gripe is the weather from basically November-March
-lots of beautiful women but unfriendly if you are not Caucasian; basically SOL if you are East Asian, Indian, black, Hispanic, or anything that is not white
-people are generally cold and unfriendly, but you get used to it
-arrogance about the city's sports teams; lots of annoying fans whenever the city wins a championship

Currently live 45 mins outside of Boston. It's GOAT for spring and summer bar hops and the food is incredible. But as most have posted. it's cold as chit for like 6 months out of the year.
Usually go down every two or three weeks to run around and be stupid.

Worst thing about the area is the weather. Hand down it sucks except from June to September and thats just too short a period of time to have nice weather.
