I might log a lot of hours at work but I sleep in my own home, drive a brand new truck, eat good food, buy whatever I want, and am sitting nicely on a savings account + investments. Two paid vacations per year + travel about twice a year for conferences/training.

Being a wagecuck is honestly not that bad. Im probably very fortunate with my middle class upbringing that had a bout of poverty. I was given two perspectives, and the level of poverty i experienced was not too much different than a middle class lifestyle or some of the upper class lifestyles I have observed at some of the homes of rich friends.

There is a big difference between minimum wage and the type of job worked. I was a tradie welder making $10 an hour and I was also a lifeguard and security guard making minimum or $10 an hour. The welding job and the ditch digging job, and working retail gave me a pretty big perspective on how chit jobs can be. Now im working security, and im realizing working is not so bad. I dont want to be here until im 50 or maybe even 5 more years, but its not so bad. Im making $15.50 an hour, im at work miscing, really good meals are provided for free while im working and the job is not challenging at all. I have the opportunity to advance to even higher pay but im comfortable where im at.

Im probably really lucky with my situation, but at the same time I think people might just be extremely stupid, and that is why so many people are unhappy. At my job we struggle to keep the place staffed, and this is the best I have ever had it. Im making roughly 37k a year, and i feel like im doing extremely well financially at 23. I think I make very good decisions so im not really in a rut like a lot of people seem to be in. If I had an expensive car, or a kid or some type of legal trouble or wife then my life would probably be more difficult, but those are all decisions that im trying to avoid. Being a wagecuck is not that bad if the job doesnt suck so much. If I really wanted too i could take a potentially big risk right now and buy a home with cash, but im hoping I can do even better. Im still young, and I think im pretty smart, but if I was a trust fund kid or someone who didnt have any dignity that was able to NEET, I think I would probably do so.

Not everyone has the same values as you. I for one don't give a **** about driving a brand new car, I'm fine with a one that is safe and does what it is supposed to do. "Eat good food", you can eat good food for cheap when you learn to cook. Consumerism I don't even want to talk about.

A lot of people are saving most of their paycheck to retire earlier than at 70. And retirement might mean quitting a 40-60hour a week job and doing something part time instead and living off your investments. But those people are looked down upon now as well (Usually by your typical wagecuck working a ****ty job with ****ty spending habits) because waah then they won't contribute to the society.

I'm not a NEET but I can definitely understand their point of view. In the future with more automation, what are these people supposed to do? Not everyone can be a software engineer/lawyer/doctor/$high_earning_and_in_demand_job (which btw most of these jobs will be automated as well, and you better specialize in something). What I'm trying to get at is, not everyone has the genes to be a "top dog" (inb4 making excuses and everyone should be able to be a selfmade millionaire).

It's just not as black and white as most anti-NEET people make it out to be (and NEETS as well).
