It's down to what you've tuned yourself into seeing as attractive. That over caked make-up thing is for stage under strong lights but has worked it's way into the instagram style of self-promotion for likes and so into the modern psyche

Some prefer a natural look and that's what they get tuned into finding attractive.

I was brought up to believe make up should be indiscernible so I think that made up look in the OP looks like a mannequin gone wrong and don't see how anybody finds the contouring, foundation, in your face look attractive.

Haven't really worn makeup since HS. The only time I wear it is for occasional parties/functions and it's not much. I never liked the way it felt on my face.

Yes it's everyone elses fault that almost every woman wears makeup.

Literally none of them have anything to do with it and being women, they can't be held accountable.

The pic in the OP was just an example. Personally, I don't like that much makeup either - she's a porn star though so that raw sex appeal matters. Porn is exaggeration after all.

My gf wears a tiny amount of makeup and looks better with it. I tell her that if she asks, but she already knows that.
The main difference in the girls I've dated is in the eyes - eye extenuation. It just changes the entire face.

the recent trend of women wearing too much makeup arose because of youtube makeup tutorials. many of us men try to tell them that they are wearing too much and they react viciously. the only ones reinforcing it are other women.

While true, I think there is something to be said in being comfortable in your own skin and not having to take off your "face" every night and look completely different.

A small amount is fine, everyone wants to look better. I spend the 20 seconds fixing my hair for the same reason. But girls that spend 20+mins putting on makeup every day - no fcuk that, wouldn't wanna be with her.
