OP, I totally feel you here. Go to sleep at 1 am and get up at like 10 crew checking in. And sometimes I'll take a mid-afternoon nap.

In for tips because I'll be a 8-5er real soon here and need to get my chit together.

Set alarms, put your phone somewhere awkward so you have to actually get up and move to turn the fukker off (top of a wardrobe is good).

one night owl to another. You have to get enough sleep basically. So test it out. Go to bed at w.e time with no alarm for a couple nights and count the hours you slept. Then you know how many hours a night you need to wake up alert. Mine is exactly 8 hours. Once you know these simple numbers, you know what time you have to brute force yourself to go to sleep. GL.

Set an alarm. Wake up. It's hard at first but your body will get used to it. After awhile your body will get used to it and then when evenings come you'll be tired and go to bed early and the recycle repeats.

you just need to not be a little bitch, period.

im a night owl too, on weekends im up until 4-5am. during the week i'm up at 4am for work.

you just need to man up and jump out of bed the second the alarm goes off. 10 minutes after you're up you won't want to go back to bed anymore.

I use an app called "alarm clock xtreme". If you want to turn off your alarm clock, you got to slove a math exercise. This always helps me to wake up without snoozing.

You have to set a sleep schedule that you follow everyday and eventually your internal clock will get used to it and it will be easy. I know them feels tho, when I am off work through the winter months I get used to sleeping in and end up hating to get up early, especially when I have to go back to work, which I have recently had to do. I try to go to bed before 12am or I am up all night on and off but like you I tend to like to stay up late, I used to clean grocery stores all night and I think I have become accustomed to staying up late, it's peaceful when everyone else is sleeping.

Its honestly like im in a trance and have no control over my actions.

i wake up, walk to my alarm, turn it off and walk back to bed and fall asleep, telling myself that i have to wake up and doing nothing

its like an out of body experience

It's easy. Skip one night of sleep. Ideally a Saturday, since you probably don't work Sunday. Then, Sunday night arrives, you're tired as **** and are falling over your feet, go to sleep really early, say 9pm. Set alarm clock for 5am. You'll instantly fall asleep, and you'll be rested enough at 5am to wake up.

Then, most important part, keep going to sleep no later than 10pm for the next 2 weeks, and your internal clock will fix itself to it.

I usually take ZMA before bed, find a way to relax and don't stay up too late. Get as comfortable as you can, usually works for me. Could try to empty your bladder right before bed and then drink some more water to wake yourself up later and then just stay up.
I never try anything I just do it!

when you're laying in bed in the morning, hitting snooze and feeling sorry for yourself. just think about some super heroic as **** people and **** they've accomplished in their lives. meanwhile you don't have the willpower to get out of bed. might help.

perhaps that sounded harsh, didn't intend it to. just a legit strategy. put some posters beside your bed of people doing badass **** and people you really look up to.

Fastest way to fix sleep schedule: Pull an all nighter and go to sleep at a time where you get 8hrs sleep before you need to wake up. No naps.

Stop taking pre-workout after 3pm. Personally, that fuks me bad and I'm up until 3am, which is why I workout in the mornings at 6am before work now.
