Exactly. He is some what responsible but this woman has knowingly brought an unwanted child into this world, what kind of life is that for the son (and mother). The odds are really against this kid tbh

Limited information ITT and the story, but if it was me I'd be way more active in finding the woman and my child. She wouldn't just take the money and have me crying in my parents basement.

You don't need a lawyer to detective, use the internet, and use the telephone.

I'd be at her house, her work, the kids daycare/school, etc. I'd call as many of her friends and family as possible with inquiries. As the father I'm entitled to that. Just imagine how sad this kid will be to find out his Dad is a cuck just waiting for the son "to find him". Pathetic.

The point I made wasn't about biology, it was how society reacts to the different scenario's.

If the tables were turned and let's say men carried the baby, I guarantee you'd see a completely different pattern.

Honestly, I am worried about my situation. Not theoretical s of others......just dont care. My situation is of my own, she made a choice, I made a choice.....this is the end result and I will do what I need to do to make it the best.

That would be such a fundamental change that you can't guarantee anything about it, as you'd have no basis to make assumptions.

Quoting double standards doesn't help here. In scenario 1 (this) the guy should be careful about knocking up a random and abortion won't be on the table. However in this example he dideverything wrong. Should he get off scot-free, probably to impregnate some other woman?

In scenario 2 the woman would be on the pill or enforce contraceptive use (unless she's an idiot too), so the guy wouldn't even be given the option.

You're focusing on the double standards of abortion - non sympathisers are expressing grievance at the guy being a complete moron and putting himself in this position in the first place - the abortion topic isn't even on the cards.

Edit: For what it's worth scenario two rarely happens, discussed even less so we cannot actually garner how people would react to number two. Women wanting to abort, and it being advocated? Absolutely. Thatandthe man wanting to keep it? I can't imagine the same people disregarding the guy. Usually it's that both parties want to keep the child or just the woman (justifiably so, hormones and what-not).

There's a lot missing from this story. Either he is overpaying his lawyer or he is too dumb to actually write the article we just read which is saying a lot.

Fake news. Sad.

Making a child support payment to support a child that is YOURS isn't ruining anybodies life. Maybe the guy shouldn't of cheated on his girlfriend.

He had just as much part in creating the baby as she did.. its $1000 a month.. Get over it.. instead of being a bitter loser blaming all his life problems on a $1000 monthly payment maybe he should accept some responsibility. All he has to do is generate 20-25k a year extra income to support that payment. Hardly a life setback

And before I get haters, I impregnated a Tinder girl on the first date so I know what I'm talking about (srs) and it didn't affect me negatively whatsoever.

Imo if women can actually murder the baby men should in theory be allowed financial abortions.

But anyways, I would say this is why sex in a healthy monogomous relationship or marriage is better and healthier in the end. Unfortunately we have examples of men getting their lives ruined that way too. You're married and your wife gets pregnant by some lowlife and you don't find out later you can still be held legally responsible for the bastard.

Giving women too many rights was a disaster.

If MGTOW was about men focusing on their own happiness and withdrawing from marriage and fatherhood it would be a worthwhile philosophy. Instead it's about whining and crying and avoiding sex.

I think he's paying 100% because he does not have custody if someone has partial custody they would only be paying partial child-support. It works on a sliding scale

If he wants custody all he has to do with petition the court he does not even need an attorney for that.
