Wanting intelligent answers, how do we (humans) plan to manage overpopulation?
I've wondered this, surely the heads of most major governments have sat in a back room somewhere and wondered where this will leave us in the next 20-30 years.
We're over 7 billion now and will hit 8, 9, and 10 quickly.
I'm not looking for the tinfoil hat answers please, no rothschild enslavement bs, but can an intelligent person tell me what they have heard about overpopulation on Earth?
I've heard vague concepts a while back about how the population may stop growing at some point due to some reason I can't remember, like it will naturally cap out at 10 billion or so and it's not as serious of an issue as I remembered, but who knows how true that is.
Thoughts?

nuke mexico, india, china, indonesia, nigeria, brazil and pakistan
problem solved
nobody will miss those countries anyway
throw the states of california and ny in there too just for fun
tbh There is no humane way to resolve it. As resources become more scarce, increased competition, poverty, and warfare will follow. Overpopulated countries will suffer from dramatic income inequality and economic problems due to rioting and crime from the unemployed. We are like bacteria in a petri dish. We will continue to grow and overpopulate the environment until we reach the carrying capacity, and then it will start to level off. It will be a chitty, miserable life for most people after that. The dream is that technological advancement will keep pushing that capacity line higher, but the truth is that we will eventually hit that line. Our technological gains are diminishing now relative to the growth.

Poor people dependent on the government should not be allowed to have children, not sure how that would be monitored/enforced though but it would help curb over population.

Step 1
- make everyone sign up to misc
Step 2
- make them all post for 1 year
Step 3
- round up all the reds
Step 4
- tie their feet to heavy bags of garbage and chuck into the mariana trench
Solves overpopulation, the slowing of misc and the garbage problem, all in one.

Well overuse resources until we can no longer survive and the population begins to decline. During this time we will all probably go into panick attack mode and it will be survival of the fittest. Then when most of us are dead, this will give ample time for food and resources to replenish and the cycle restarts. I think

The same way we've dealt with literally every other catastrophe, by letting people die fight it out for the resources and letting everyone else die. I'm not sure why people are all up in arms about this. Hundreds of thousands of people die everyday from famine and disease, why exactly do you think it'll change?

You can already sense world leaders are doing chit about this..china with the building of artificial islands, the seed vault in the north pole, Bill Gates with his mysterious vaccine business that killed thousands on Indians and his wife who is a birth control advocate. I think once the population gets to around 15b chit will get real, something drastic will happen and it'll go back down to 2-4b

A) By producing more food. We've been doing that very well for the last half a century.
B) More advanced countries have alarmingly low fertility rate. The population in Europe and East Asia (Japan, China, Korea) is shrinking.
The only reason we are growing here is because of immigration, mexicans and rednecks. We'll build a wall and put a stop to that nonsense soon.
Overpopulation itself is not a problem. Overcrowding in big cities and overusing water is.

We will collapse as a society within the next 100 years, population will plummet and we will start over. Something will occur either a huge natural disaster, nuke war, not enough food/water ext

The planet's carrying capacity for humans is supposedly like 10 billion with the limiting factor being food supply.

Go to 16:18. Here he is talking about increasing population in the US, but you can extrapolate much of this to the world. Barring some serendipitous breakthrough in technology that further improves the carrying capacity of the earth, we are a train wreck in not so slow motion, and any action taken to reduce population will inevitably infringe upon basic human rights or things we aim for and consider "good".
"Nature is going to choose from the right-hand list. So, we don't have to do anything -- except be prepared to live with what nature chooses from that right-hand list."

Basically, it could be possible that in 20-30-40 years, most third world countries become developed, educated and advanced, therefore most of the worlds birth rate begins to decline and match the birth rate of western countries.

The only way is put people on Mars / being able to live in space...the earth isn't going to last forever so putting man in space is the best option..trump already ahead on this by giving Nasa the go to put people on the Mars, which is the first step

Historically, communists always talked about the dangers of overpopulation before they started rounding up political dissidents by the millions and slaughtering them.
As usual, communists in America are talking about the dangers of overpopuation but the dissidents here have guns.
