High school kids in stringers thinking they're cut, and just acting like lil tards in the locker room. Throwing a football around in the locker room and hitting stuff then laughing it off. No respect man.

I've seen a few people wear formal/business clothing and footwear to the gym. Cringey when the sweat starts to seep through the shirt and slacks.
I guess what I'm really trying to say is, most people are "trendy". Like.... be yourself man. Have some self actualization. Stringers serve no purpose aside from an aesthetic appeal. Same applies towards branding such as Gym Shark. Plain tshirt or plain tank top is the way to go.

The other day, I overheard these two fat sloots talking chit about how nobody ever does anything in the gym. One of them said she used to go to a gym where there were a bunch of bodybuilders and they always sat around doing nothing. These two sloots couldn't do a single pullup. It's like sloot maybe if you lifted heavy, you'd realize why men need to rest a bit between sets. Go back to doing yoga and some light jogging sloot let the men lift and rest

Came in to say this.

Some old dudes at my gym have no concept of proper gym attire. BRB wearing jeans to work out in. BRB wearing khaki/golf shorts to work out in.

Also the guy who loads up the leg press machine with every plate he can find, and proceeds to do 1/1588 ROM leg presses (and still has the worst chicken legs in the entire gym).

And the old, out of shape dudes who lay out an entire buffet of preworkout, whey, BCAA supplements across a bench in the locker room, and then spend more time taking them all than actually time in the gym itself.

And the ash-hats that leave plates on equipment, so you can't tell for sure if anyone is using them or not. Re-rack your own chit.

And the Indian dude that reeks and walks around the gym talking on his cell phone the entire time he's there.

And the "every day is ab day" crew.

Lmao. Reminds me of this one time where a couple was squatting in front of me in the squat rack, and the girl was recording her guy's half-rep squats of 185 lbs to put on Instagram. Just, no.

Plenty of people love gymshark, wearing it is being themself.

People should wear what they want to the gym, life would be so boring if everyone was like you

I'd like to disagree with you there..... wearing gymshark isn't being yourself. Wearing gymshark is being a follower, a trendy.... if you wear clothes based on what the majority wears or what is "current" means you're a trendy. Most people that wear gymshark are doing it because its "cool", its "in" or "hip" or whatever the phuck lol. If more people wore different, or even unknown brands, I believe the "world" or at least in your words, would be funner, more communicative and interesting. Just be yourself bro.

Definitely bad form. And not just because of the bad form but because when you try to help them and correct movement, instead of being thankful and heeding advice they just think you're a know-it-all

Freakin 90 degree angles on deadlifts? Fine, enjoy your back problems.
Stop it. Get some help.

So not true. They offer maximum mobility without bunching, pulling, etc. and air circulation.

Once a regular T-shirt gets sweaty it sticks to your back and transfers sweat onto all the equipment. It can also be binding and scratchy against the skin. Not at all comfortable for repetitive movements.

On the other hand: suits, jeans, flip-flops, boots, Daisy Dukes, midriff, spandex, etc. when on a permanent bulk.

Do you feel the same way about people who wear Nike, Adidas, and/or Reebok clothing? Because they're all more or less the same thing: activewear.

You're also contradicting yourself.. "Plain tshirt or plain tank top is the way to go", then "If more people wore different, or even unknown brands, I believe the "world" or at least in your words, would be funner, more communicative and interesting".

GymShark does seem to have a stigma attached to it, probably due to the douchey IG fitness personalities who endorse them. That said, I do own a GymShark hoodie and a pair of sweats, and IMO they're both well-made and comfortable as fck. Expensive compared to other stuff though.

Sm1ke,

I do feel the same way about Nike, Adidas and Reebok. Indeed. Just in a slightly different manner. The previously stated brands don't have the douche-feel attached to them as GymShark does. However, they are, at least in my logic, the same in regards to "trendy-ness". You don't need a phucking swoosh on your tank top or tshirt lol. The only difference between a Nike shirt and a plain shirt is the symbol printed on it. There is absolutely no difference in quality of material or stitching, because both were made in a Chinese sweatshop. People wear brands because they feel that it will make them fit-in, become part of the accepted norm. Phuck that ****gy thyme.

This dude uses the smith machine to do squats, slaps on 3 plates, literally does about a 2 inch rom, barely breaks the lock in his knees, and makes the most god awful face like hes taking a sheeit.

I work out at golds and at metroflex. You cant even get me started how much cringy stuff I see at golds, I think my biggest pet peeve I see is people doing cardio and then lifting or people doing 1 set at something then moving to somethign else and doing 1 set, etc..

At metroflex there are like 5-6 main coaches who have teams of bodybuilders, one has a group and they always act super intense with everything and dont understand that their intensity needs to be with the lifting not with running around, yelling stuff, slapping each other, yelling ronnie coleman one liners while spotting each other, and screaming from the top of their lungs starting at rep one all the way through rep 6. Don't get me wrong, they have good physiques, are huge, and strong, but the rest of us in there are all also huge, strong AF, lift just as intensely as them (probably with better form and more muscle concentration/activation) and dont need to yell on every set. Don't get me wrong I lift until pain and keep going to complete failure a lot and may let out some grunts or cuss at the end because it ****ing hurts, but there is a difference.
