Strong insecurities there.

I'm only tough with my girl when it comes to healthy eating and fitness. I demand a healthy lifestyle, and in return I live the same way. Seems like a fair deal to me.

Also sometimes have to override the female's tendency towards emotional absurdity. For instance, fiance wants to take a week off work to paint new house. In my mind making that cash is a bit more significant that a few mere cosmetic enhancements to a house. I had to meet her halfway on that point.

Being a true man means being tough but fair and reasonable - not being an insecure freak of nature who is afraid of one's own shadow.

I know everything about him, ran a full background check on the kid cause during my first date with her we were making out in her car and he blew her phone up with phone calls from a restricted number, when she finally answered he started questioning her and chit where she is (they were broken up for months prior to this), then she just yelled at him calling him a ******* and chit (srs). Kid's harmless, just insecure as fuk.

If he does try anything, I know where he lives as well as every one of his immediate relatives. I've got addresses, phone numbers, full names, cars, license plates, etc. - everything.

There's nothing alpha about being insecure and if by 'hacking accounts' you mean verbally/emotionally abusing someone into giving up their login/password then sure.

I don't know if its an issue where they are a being raised. Maybe their dad or whatever was like that towards their mom. I mean, I had a good upbringing, but I would like to think that common sense says none of that is OK. How can someone's idea of what "love" is be so skewed that they are controlling, obsessive and abusive like that? Its self inflicting wounds too. Just all crazy to me.

People on here always say anyone who gets into or stays in an abusive situation for any amount of time is damaged goods/masochistic etc. but they don't take into consideration several things;

> Abusers don't usually start out abusive, they start out super keen, romantic, being the person's biggest fan ... people think it's all good and they've met 'the one' at the start, then the abuser gradually changes; they do the 'slowly boil frog in water' thing.
The abused person keeps trying to get back to how it was at the start, which seemed so great. They're emotionally attached and invested by the time they start getting abused. Their boundaries and standards are gradually tested and wrecked, the bar keeps getting lower and lower.

People from all backgrounds can end up in abusive relationships - in fact sometimes people from good backgrounds are so embarrassed & feel like they've failed because they've ended up in that situation (compared to their family/friends' relationships) that they're slow to admit it and to leave.
Simple minds need simple answers.
