When I first seen her, I was thinking, "She can sing, she's blonde, looks like she'll be super hot, hoping for a better look..."
Saw one of her stage performances where she's stripped down, and her body looked awful, like the body of a guy who doesn't even lift. She literally had no curves, it was disgusting. Her face also wasn't caked out in make-up and angles, and like you said, looked plain, face of a little boy.

In season 1 she was still looking good (especially for being 37), but I think she did a disservice to herself by getting even thinner by the second season, and baking in the Florida sun--it really did a number on her skin. Towards the end of the show, that sun damage combined with some really ugly makeup choices (heavy, dark eyebrows that were drawn too close together, darkened hair, dark eyeliner, etc.) made for an unfortunate appearance.
