Too many reasons to list tbh. I love what our Country was built upon, our founding fathers, what they fought for. We have a rich history which fascinates me. Some dark ****ed up **** and some truly heroic ****. Besides where else in the world can you live like a boss without a college education, bare minimum? Opportunities are endless here, if you have the drive and the ideas, you can literally achieve anything. Not being held down by a religion is another plus.

I was born and still live in the US and this is one thing I'll never get. A lot of people's level of patriotism/nationalism seems to be on almost a religious fanatic level

you should see my neighborhood. we've probably got 100 houses in our loop and there's gotta be at least 35 flags proudly on display on peoples houses srs. feelsgoodman. and I live in the urban northwest too, which isn't exactly a bastion of patriotism.

It goes way beyond red or blue. My neighbor took photos and reported me to the city. The city opened a case against me for the crime of removing invasive himalayan blackberries on my own property without getting a permit from the city. Ded srs. I am not allowed to touch ANY vegetation on my property without a permit.
