I'm in Scottsdale/Tempe, AZ for business. I had forgotten what it's like being in a clean and safe city filled with normal people and fantastic weather.

What does any of this have to do with trump? I worked at UCSF's Medical Center (and a bit at Kindred) so I had to work around a LOT of people I didn't experience any of that "internet level" liberalism. FFS it almost sounds like the op's trolling by taking cues from that south park episode. I was born and raised in California and have never witnessed any of that pretentious behavior.

When were you in SF? To be honest I have not experienced too much SJW chit here in LA but I went to college a decade ago and that chit was just getting started. It has increased exponentially since from what I understand, specially after Trump's election. Is it possible that you spent a limited time in SF and didn't talk to a lot of people? Perhaps that it was 8 years ago or something? Chit has changed quick man. SF when I went to visit my cousins in HS is not even close to what it is today. It has changed in nature both visually and culturally.

Your work may well be lucrative but if you have a skill set, whatever it is, you have opportunities elsewhere

If you're always looking to the future, deferring what you want for the chance of a higher salary when does that stop? When do you start to prioritise building the life you want in the place you want. Or even finding that place?

This seems like a struggle many have in their 20s tbh

I *almost* left a year ago, if it wasn't for one job opportunity I couldn't turn down - I debated it and decided to stay. I am starting to prioritize it, I just tend to procrastinate this decision since my next move will probably be my settling one, so I want it to be the right one. That said, I can't allow the decision to paralyze me either.

You just described Seattle brah. These people have no thoughts of their own. I don't care if you lean left or right, but these folks are brainwashed zombies.

I saw one lone ranger yesterday though. Swole manlet wearing a Steelers shirt and a camo MAGA hat, strutting right through Amazon-ville, Probably a miscer.

It's hard to take a leap into the unknown, or a chance on someone. I get it.

I hate all of the elitist techie hipsters in SF. They cause prices on everything to go up and they are loud and annoying. They say they are barely making it with $150k/yr salary which is retarded. **** the tech buses too.

I hate all of the H1B Indians in the South Bay. They crowd everywhere and are loud and rude. Have you ever been to the Costco in Sunnyvale? It's overrun by H1B' pushing and shoving everyone.

I don't know how you guys can deal with that fukin climate though --

Annual high temperature: 63.8°F
Annual low temperature: 50.8°F
Average temperature: 57.3°F
Average annual precipitation - rainfall: 23.64 inch
Days per year with precipitation - rainfall: 68 days

No thanks, annual high is 7 degrees lower than I turn my AC down at night, and that **** is cold when I wake up. 57 degrees and raining 20% of the time sounds great though, notsrs.

You get $150k/yr in the tech industry no matter if you worked in SF Bay Area, Seattle, Austin, or Atlanta.

So it makes more sense to move somewhere else for the same salary.

You can easily make $100k with just few years of experience in Philly...which is much lower cost of living than those areas.
