It looked like something I'll wait to torrent cause I wouldn't pay to see it.

Generally these medieval fantasy movies are always bombing since lotr set the standard of excellence. Even game of thrones as a show is way better then most movies of a similar nature

100% agree with this. In fact TV series are way better than movies nowadays. I have way more interest in GOT and Better Call Saul than I have for any movies coming out.

Times are changing.

This was a fantastic movie, the artistic nature and creativeness was just fantastic...this was great on the presentation and artistic side of things however the story line wasn't all that great..but fuking loved the chit out of the atmospheric nature of this movie.

Whites in Gods of Egypt make as much sense as Blacks and Asians in king Arthur movie...You use another racially badly cast movie to counter his argument about racially badly cast movie lol. That being said, I don't think Arthur bombed because of cast but because that story has been beaten to death already. From multiple movies, tv shows, to cartoons and pieces of literature. Most people won't justify throwing their money away on it just because they redid it again with some flashy cgi effects.

Made a thread couple days ago detailing exactly what was wrong with the movie. Got to see it for free and it still sucked.

Basically no story and bad acting. Guy Ritchie's CGI and neat cinematography arn't going to make up for bad writing and acting.

Also Merlin isn't in this at all. It's really only about King Arthur. Even the stuff about Excalibur is really limited and zoomed through.

Lucius Artorius Castus a Roman centurion and a seperate Warlord who may have been named Arthur who showed up to best the Saxons that whom no one knows much about is all we have of the Historical Arthur

Monmouth took that shyt and made a loose adaption. Other authors made a loose adaption (one even added the extra Lancelot shyt that is famous today, a French author at that), and then someone made a movie that is obviously not canon and really doesnt affect the story sheerly for entertainment purposes.

I don't get why they take "liberties" with the material. If someone just made a faithful movie about King Arthur, it would be totally awesome. People always phuck with the source material, and they have no idea wtf they are doing.

Tom Cruise wasn't playing a guy who should be Asian tho. He was playing a white character in the movie. Wouldn't make sense for an Asian guy to play that part in that movie.

The Man from UNCLE was pretty good, too bad he followed it up with King Arthur. The trailer looks bad, too much CGI. I wouldn't mind seeing a realistic portrayal of King Arthur instead of fighting CGI monsters or what not

first off, the budget varies from what OP stated to 70 million less. Also, its not a DISNEY remake and the marketing for this movie was fuking terrible
