I don't give a **** if the private property is unused, dilapidated, or whatever, it's the person's own property to choose to do what they want with. As long as they're is not a zoning law against what the person is doing with their property, then the government should **** right off.

we all know the government doesn't have our back and seeks only to serve itself and make money, that they're corrupt etc but they at least try to keep their intentions hidden and keep their PR looking good, like they do things for the people and they care

Everybody would like to think that they are safe in the country they are born in, not a government making the totally obvious move of kicking native Germans out of their homes for migrants to move in... that's a bit of a kick in the teeth. Its one thing for your country not to be safe, it's another to not be safe and secure even in your own home that on paper you own and have paid for.

It's kind of odd to think about. But it seems a bit like eminent domain and trying to make something out of derelict properties. But billing the people who own the properties is messed up. They should just first give the owners warning that the properties need to be cleaned up and maintained, kind of like in the US. Otherwise I think legal seizure is possible, or even buying them at a low price.

I don't exactly agree with it necessarily, but there's more to the story.
