I paid only $300 for my current watch, and that's because I need something decent for deep sea diving.

The world would be a better place if everyone would channel their frustration and anger to better themselves and be nicer to everyone they meet. Everyone has their own fights and stories to tell, you are not more important than another.

OP you never walked in at a beach bar leaning towards the barkeeper ordering two Tequila shots paying with your watch hand and hear a sweet voice from the left "Is that a Rolex you're wearing?".
Then you look to your left and see that stunner sitting there smiling at you and you just smile back and say "Ye I have one shot left".
Those panties will drop faster than a Lambo reaches from 0 to 100 miles per hour

My dad gave me a Rolex that was made in the 90's some time back..only an entry level Rolex and is about $3k new. I would never spend that on my own but it's nice to wear it out once in a while.

Poverty watch crew.
Wear a Casio F-91W, similar to the one in the OP except black plastic. Tried a few different watches over the years but always go back to the Casio.

I have a basic semi cheap starter collection of about 10 not name brand fashion watches. One of the only things I enjoy spending money on. A good watch will last decades and add its value in style.

lol @ drawing attention to yourself by fishing up your oversized phone from your pocket every time you need to check the time. Who was discretion? Who was manners? Who was professionalism? Who was style? Who was accessorizing? Not once in my life have I seen a man who had his life together who didn't wear a decent watch. Good luck with your looking like a peasant goals of 2017 opie.

I'm noticing a theme with all your threads

Spoiler!
They're all sh*t

But I actually agree srs. Complete waste of money and non functional in this day and age. Also most watches look like sh*t and fat people should not wear watches. Only looks good if you got the forearms to pull it off, which obviously, most people do not.

Lol at you, peasants.

If you want a nice watch, my advice is to save a few more years before looking at buying an actual peer watch -- and I am not talking about the Rolex Daytona.

I see thousands of young professionals commit the grave mistake of buying Tag Heuers, Breitlings, Baume Merciers, and of course, the watch that labels you an instant rube: the Rolex Daytona. It's comical to see attorneys with Omega Seamasters or other nautically themed watches because a majority of them can't even swim, much less do deep diving (poon diving doesn't count here) or sea exploration. Unless you are a pilot, wearing a Breitling Navitimer is as ridiculous as you showing up to court in a flight suit.

Same goes for a Rolex Daytona: unless you are a professional race car driver or know how to read a tachymetre, wearing such a watch makes you look like an unsophisticated novice to the scions you are trying to impress. Sure these watches may impress hookers, strippers and hoi polloi, but in my eyes you will be instantly discredited.

If you want to dress the part, do away with the millennial popular option of the Apple Watch or other digital fitbit watches. Let's face it, you are not an athlete or training for the Olympics. While folks have different tastes, you cannot go wrong with the following watch makers:

1) Patek Philippe;
2) Audemars Piguet;
3) Breguet; and,
4) Jaeger-LeCoultre

If you are on a budget and need validation for your success, I suppose you can get a Rolex Daytona that is DATELESS. The dateless feature is key. At a minimum, with this watch you can carry on as a watch purist poseur. If you want to follow the herd, just get the standard Rolex Daytona which will show successful individuals that you are just an average follower of watch trends. Also, don't be shocked if every other person who sees your Rolex asks you "is that real?" since the Chinese have nearly perfected the counterfeit market on Rolexes.

Personally, I own three Patek Philippes, including a 1917 pocket watch. My current watch (that's on my wrist right now) is a Patek Philippe Nautilus, which I have owned since 1989. Remember, the watch brands I recommended are not fashion statements, they are legacy pieces.
