It's actually cause there's a hose from the Mariana Trench to the arctic ice caps. They said it was global warming causing the ice to melt, but that was a scam too. Once NASA turned the core back down, the ice caps have cooled down with it.

cats would have pushed everything off it already
I'm sure it was a repost of a repost but it made me chuckle.

As much of a roll bread that this is, I actually saw a chick on FB post the same image to her wall and was 100% srs. It's almost like some people are proud of how stupid they are.

one thing that always blew my mind is that every picture of earth and every globe in a classroom is orientated a specific way.
Why is the earth never seen as being upside down as we usually are? Also, we always look sideways in space...what is above or below the earth? Why don't we ever point the hubble straight up or straight down?
For example:

What if the curvature of the Earth is an optical illusion due to the curvature of our eye? No lens can be purely flat otherwise the image would never focus.
This is a very strange phenomenon; we could be absolutely wrong about what we perceive. It will be impossible to tell if its really curved or not.

This of it this way...you have a device that measures off, but it is always precise. This is well known in physics. Accuracy does not equal precision.
