It's actually cause there's a hose from the Mariana Trench to the arctic ice caps. They said it was global warming causing the ice to melt, but that was a scam too. Once NASA turned the core back down, the ice caps have cooled down with it.

I'm sure it was a repost of a repost but it made me chuckle.

The water heats up and turns into a gas that weighs less than the air around it that was previously above it so it rises due to gravity because the heaviest particles will get pulled down towards earth kind of like when you have different liquids in a bottle and they separate. The water then gets pushed up further from the earth where the temperature drops and it can't hold its gas state any longer so it recondenses into a liquid and falls back to the earth and repeats the process.. You're an idiot.

one thing that always blew my mind is that every picture of earth and every globe in a classroom is orientated a specific way.

Why is the earth never seen as being upside down as we usually are? Also, we always look sideways in space...what is above or below the earth? Why don't we ever point the hubble straight up or straight down?

For example:

It's just a convention we decided on - same way North America is in the middle of American maps, in Japan Japan is in the middle.

It's because an object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by an outside force. If you travel up you're only putting force up and you're still spinning as fast as you are right now. In order to put something in orbit we actually have to account for that and put force in both directions - which is why it's so damn hard.

Because our maps are oriented that way, so it wouldn't make sense to show pictures of Earth oriented south-up.

Pictures of the bottom or top of Earth in space? Wot

What if the curvature of the Earth is an optical illusion due to the curvature of our eye? No lens can be purely flat otherwise the image would never focus.

This is a very strange phenomenon; we could be absolutely wrong about what we perceive. It will be impossible to tell if its really curved or not.

Dude, the ancient Greeks figured out the earth was curved and almost calculated its size just by measuring the time shadows fell a certain distance at a certain time in different places.

This proves absolutely nothing. the shadows are calculated based on what we see, so it is also influenced by our eye curvature.

This of it this way...you have a device that measures off, but it is always precise. This is well known in physics. Accuracy does not equal precision.

On the off chance you're not trolling you should read the link to see how it was done. It simply involves measuring the distance of the shadow - it had nothing to do with curvature, unless you're now claiming we can't make tape measures because "our eyes curve"
