I have nothing against hunting for practical purposes besides the gaming aspect of it (ie clean the animals you kill hunting and use them as food, don't waste the meat). That said, fukk "big game" trophy hunters to hell and back. There is absolutely zero practical reason to trophy hunt lions, leopard, elephants (as they mentioned this guy doing in this article) and chit like that. They are probably just going to be stuffed or some chit (when done legally anyway), and they are way too exotic and small in numbers to be hunted responsibly.
Stick to deer, water fowel, pheasants, turkeys, and that type of chit. Even stuff like bears if done responsibly in terms of conservation and you won't waste the meat. Fukk the trophy hunting bs.

Hunting is cool, but F big game trophy hunting.
I have no sympathy for this ******* trophy hunter.
Darwin award material for epic fail of death by being crushed by a falling elephant him and his buddies were hunting.

Feels good man. What a little b*tch, needs to go shoot rare animals with a f*cking gun to try to feel like a man. Sorry bud but you've still got a small dick and are now dead. Love feel good stories like this. Big game *******, I'd piss on your grave if it was anywhere near me.

I don't hunt at all; just not interested. But when people go out and drop tens of thousands of dollars on some of these hunts, it's going into funding the preserve. And, correct me if I'm wrong, they generally don't get to shoot any animal they please; there's usually a small number they can choose from, based on various things like age and status in the community the animal is in. Poaching is bad, but small, select hunting is fine. I wouldn't drop that much money, especially on a hunt, but whatever they like.
That said, go out on a hunt, risk getting hurt. Siht happens.

GJ elephant man.
Whether or not the proceeds go to help the animals, if you have the desire to kill an elephant you're a kunt.
Good riddance.

Legal hunting gives the animals value. Cattle are killed by the thousands each day and they are in no way endangered. Why? Because they have value and people breed them.
If game cannot be hunted they have little value and will be killed off by poachers without anyone batting an eye.

I understand those aren't the most scientific of sources, but you would be hard pressed to find any concrete evidence of exactly where the money is actually going for obvious reasons. Africa has some of the most corrupt governments in existence. If you think those fees from big game trophy hunting is going to the preserves and local African communities, you are sorely mistaken.

While hunting may seem morally reprehensible on the surface, anyone with a modicum of interest in the subject would do a bit of research and determine that hunting is the primary driving force for conservation. People tend to hop on the bambi bandwagon very easily, poor little thing etc. but they are not putting their blood sweat and tears into the maintenance of healthy animal populations (albeit for profit). Hunting helps far more than just the lodge/game farm owner, they employ a large number of typically unskilled rural workers that would otherwise not find gainful employment as well as provide meat for many communities as a byproduct of the much hated "trophy hunter".

With that said some hunts are good and make sense when they're based around population control. For example in my hometown the state park periodically holds a huge deer hunt for population reasons where they allow hunters to hunt on state land quell deer numbers.
