But why though? What's been the reason if you don't mind giving a few examples?

I've went on 3 different dates with some real good looking well off guys. Just imagine going on a date and the entire time the person won't stop talking/bragging about themselves. The entire conversation was about them and after a while you just shut down and don't even hear them talking anymore.

I found it to be a huge turn off and refused 2nd dates with all of them. I'm sure not all good looking guy's are like this but the experience just left a bad taste in my mouth...

True, that seems to be how it is a lot of the time. The more attractive someone is the more self absorbed & boring they are tends to be the case.

The guys women wind up with though, do they usually find those guys more attractive in their eyes than someone that's in the OP or is it mainly the personality that wins the woman over but only think the guy is just okay/average looking most of the time? That's the confusing part to me.

If a person has an amazing personality and brings other positive traits to the table that can absolutely make you more attractive in my eyes.

If that makes any sense.

I guess it does but if I'm honest it does make it feel like really attractive guys get to have way less going for them to be given the same chance as guys with way more going for them in other areas. I guess that's the way life is though.

This. Someone you don't initially find amazing can start to physically appear better somehow if you really like their personality, and vice versa. Although in the case of people posted in this thread I am judging the way they look whilst knowing nothing about them.

In response to your neg, I already admitted he wouldn't touch me with a 10 foot pole, and neither would a bunch of people I actually am attracted to. Not sure of your point.

I guess you can call it "insecurity" for the women that said he wouldn't date him (I am one of those). But I can elaborate more as to why I wouldn't date that guy: 1) he will be CONSTANTLY stared at/hit on etc. by other girls, and I really don't have time for that (not jealous, literally just wouldn't have time to tell them "hi I'm his girlfriend") 2) he's too pretty, I mean in a not very masculine way, something about his face seems very plastic which leads to 3) if it takes him longer than me to get ready, that's not ok. Fine line between putting in some effort to look good and straight up excessive vanity. This probably goes the same way for guys who are not into girls who wear a crap ton of makeup for no reasons.

Not sure about you but I generally don't lose control over my bodily functions because someone/thing is in the room. Pretty sure we all know not a single girl here thinks this guy would actually notice them, he seems like he'd be a little too occupied with how pretty he is to notice anything (don't blame him, if I looked like him I'd be sitting in front of a mirror all day and just look at how pretty I am).

well to a certain point, some people regardless of personality will never be attractive to someone

Yeah, that's true. I suppose I should've said "to an extent."

I was more trying to illustrate that personality can change your perception of how someone actually looks. It's not a case of some mathmatical equation where you take how bad he looks and how good his personality is and decide whether you can put up with how he looks, how he looks becomes more attractive to you.

Nope to either question so I can't answer that.
But if I wind up with someone I would need a balance of where I find her both physically attractive & like her personality. It can't just be one without the other.

its interesting because you acknowledge your insecurity but fail to acknowledge your bias. On one level, you equate good looks with arrogance and conceit. On the other level, you fail to entertain the notion that not all of these male model are cocky and mean like in the movies. Id say its pretty much the opposite in reality. good looking people are generally far less bitter and carry far less emotional and psychological baggage due to years of positive reinforcement. Compliments and praise generally breeds positivity and security. Also, very good looking people usually go after each other and dont hang the same internal hangups most average looking people have. Your disinterest in essence, is physiological shield that you conditioned yourself to put up mentally to protect your ego. We all do it on some degree but you should acknowledge that this shield is purely a manifestation of your own insecurity rather due to reality. AKA "cope"

the thing is, extremely good looking people are good liars and learn at an early age that people like them more when they act humble about looks. Basically the cardinal rule of being good looking is always downplay your looks to appear humble. I mean this is something most good looking people realize by middle school (unless they are stupid.) so the chances of an extremely good looking person having the textbook "male model" personality is very low.
