Thats been the law for quite some time. I believe the law is, if you're carrying more than $30,000 in cash with you and the police pull you over, they have the right to confiscate it to make sure the money was legally obtained....then they're suppose to give it back.

She's still a dumbass for not putting that money in the bank. Now that this story is in the news she'll either have the money stolen or she'll eventually lose a large chunk of it if the IRS finds out. Stripping and tips is still taxable income.
