The Great Global Warming Swindle…

Disclaimer: Before any accusations get thrown around, I am not a flat-earther. With that out of the way, let us begin.

So I'm sharing this British documentary on man-made global warming which is a VERY interesting watch.

This might trigger some people, but the scientific basis of the man-made global warming theory is questionable.

Mainstream media has convinced people of this. There used to be dramatic adverts about man-made climate change on British TV (paid for by the government lol) -http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8571353.stm. But for me, there are too many question marks. So many predictions have been wrong…

What scientists said would happen:
Arctic summers ice-free 'by 2013' -http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7139797.stm

What actually happened:
Arctic ice 'grew by a third' after cool summer in 2013 -http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-33594654

Cliffs:
- MANY professors disagree with the theory that man-made CO2 emissions increase temperature for a number of reasons.
- The sun has a significant impact on climate change.
- Even in the post-WW2 economic boom, temperatures decreased for decades despite a dramatic increase in global CO2 emissions& atmospheric concentrations at the same time.

So much so in the early 1970s, scientists were making ice age predictions:

Brb, Time Magazine June 1974 article: Another Ice Age?
http://content.time.com/time/magazin...944914,00.html

Yes we need alternative sources of energy and climate change happens. But putting it down to man-made CO2 emissions is at the very least questionable.Inb4 - "but scientific consensus". I recommend you watch the full documentary. And interestingly, I saw this headline a couple of days ago…

"Climate change:$4 trillion carbon taxis needed to save humanity from global warming, say economist" -http://www.independent.co.uk/environ...-a7763376.html
I wonder who would make money of this…
Still looking for a crew... crew

Back in middle school, 2006ish I would say in class (particularly geography) that the threat of global warming is a load of BS. Teachers would disrespect my opinion and even get upset with me because of it.

It's so laughably bogus by now only willfully ignorant eat it up.

BRB Global Warming is happening, yes literally anything "is happening" if you keep changing the criteria on what that "thing" is.

Did not watch but have crunched the numbers on global warming (oops this is 2017 so its climate change) myself.

Man made CO2 emissions are a drop in the bucket compared to natural emissions. I'm serious, it is literally like nothing. The oceans if i remember right are the single biggest contributor to CO2 emissions. So of course the scientists that support that mankind is the cause adjusted their argument to say, "Well... its a very delicate cycle and the little bit that mankind puts out has been enough to strongly upset this cycle."

I watch a lot of liberal documentaries. So naturally I watched "An Inconvenient Truth". I took Al Gores own source material and looked at it closely. His own data shows we are in a cooling period / ice age. Of course you'd never notice this because his charts/graphs conveniently only show a small section of earth history. When you find the original data you see that the temperatures during the Jurassic period and such were drastically higher.

The only thing worse than the whole debate are all the idiots that sign on to either side and just regurgitate whatever scientist say without actually looking at the data themselves.

If you want to blow your hair back go read about super volcanoes and their effects on the earth. Then chuckle when you compare it to mankind and its pitiful attempt.

You don't have to dig too deep to understand that the motivation behind the global warming hype is a big money grab. If we really cared about the environment, we'd start with keeping our drinking water supplies clean, reform factory farming, quit dumping waste into the ocean, etc first.

Honestly anyone who believes in catastrophic anthropogenic global climate change in 2017 is willfully ignorant and has done zero research to look into the actual data on their own.

All the data manipulation and flat out lies are surface level ****, the raw data exists that says no significant warning has occurred in the industrial age. Carbon dioxide is plain and simple an insignificant greenhouse gas whose effects are well buffered by natural forces. Believing in global warming is like believing there's 37 genders.

Low population agrarian societies are the only sustainable systems where humans can keep a balance between providing needs and protecting the environment around them. Our technological advancement is what will eventually be our downfall so don't put much faith in science to solve our problems. Obviously no one wants to accept the fact and instead they push harder for more industrialization and modernization thereby speeding up the process. Humans are extremely short-sighted. They're in awe of guys like Elon Musk but he's the kind of motherfuker that's slowly killing us all.

Well...you're right and wrong. Once something has been invented it can't be un-invented. Everyone understands the shortcomings of industrialization, but no one has a realistic sustainable solution.

I know we won't go back unless we're forced to through a major catastrophe. Even trying to have that conversation with people will warrant responses like "well I couldn't live without air conditioning or my cell phone." I personally don't think there is a realistic sustainable solution for the haphazard path we're on but I hope someone proves me wrong.

There are plenty of ideas/inventions that had to be relearned/invented.

We are in a technological revolution right now (not sure we ever left it). I suspect we will have sustainable clean energy options within the next 20 years.

how can i cash out on this? selling renewable energy sources? stock market?

what's weird is that cnn immediately posted an article about the arctic shelf crack expanding 11 more miles (in only 6 days)-- right after this whole thing happened.
