the "you will never be 15 and in love" copypasta is the most depressing thing ever

you'll never be 15 and in love
lying on the grass on a warm summer night, watching the stars, carelessly chatting
not worrying about rent, bills, student loans
only worry in life is how you're gonna cheat on that history test on monday
you'll never take a young, tight, hot-bodied girls virginity, pulling out to cum all over her back and have her look in your eyes and say "I love you"
you'll never have a girl around every day after school, pretend to be doing homework together, but instead just **** like rabbits
you're in your 20's now
gotta get a good job
gotta be a serious man now
all the good ones are taken
maybe a nice girl will eventually settle with you
they have already felt all those new exciting feelings before, and are usually jaded and bitter
you missed what it feels like to have not a care in the world other than making your girl happy
you have missed out on teenage love

I'M DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO GOING ER BUDDY BOYOS

IF YOU NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS VISIT GANDY ASAP TBH TBH IMO

we are all naive when we are young, and have stupid perceptions about dating and romance. it was nothing special, just delusional.

Yep. The 15 and in love copypasta hit home and reminds me of those times in my life. But older relationships are just different. I would never in a million years want to trade in the woman I'm with now for that girl I experienced that with at 15. But there's nothing my wife could ever do to really compare to that feeling of being 15 and in love. You can't recreate that.

Honestly that is an idealized version of teen love. In our day and age it's nothing like that for 90% of people anyways.

Even watching romance movies like Before Sunrise or nostalgic movies like Dazed and Confused makes me feel like "fuarkkkk" but then I think about it and realize it's all an idealized version of life that doesn't exist for the majority of people anyways, so it's not like I'm truly missing out.

edit: Fuark just realized this post is 75% cope

god dammit
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

This sort of thing used to bother me, but not so much anymore. No sour grapes, but I don't think "teenage love" is as big of a deal as FA brahs make it out to be, only because if one were a position to experience teenage love, they'd probably be normie enough to just take it for granted and see it as a regular part of life. Just like how the average girl has what would be a dream life for forever alones, with lots of friends, lots of sex, lots of relationships, but they still find room to complain and want something more, because it's the only life they've ever known.

Don't get me wrong, it would still be nice to have teenage love and would sure beat being forever alone in high school, but FA brahs only long for it because they understand what it's like to go years without it. The only way they'd truly appreciate teenage love is if they were to somehow go back in time and relive high school while retaining their current memories.
