I cringe hard when white people do this

I had a white dude in the club right next to me once, singing along to a rap song and intentionally missing out all the n bombs with paused silence, just made me cringe and it sounds so off lol, I should have just put my arm around him and said bro its cool

I believe personally myself and no other, that white people fear to listen or address the ills of racism because discussing it unveils them. What I mean by that is if you are my little brother and when we where kids I asked you to make sure some contraption or whatnot was locked, yet you didn't and I ended up losing an eye, finger or toe. One of the many effects racism has had on the white folks is their inability to be remorseful or feel anything for black people in anyway, look at most threads involving blacks getting killed, the very idea that death is ultimate and not a thing to praise doesn't even come to mind. Look at the lynching pictures with the smiling whites or my favorite the burning ones with the smoke hitting the crowd and they just stand laughing. Like I said, I don't mind. But sometimes when a person of another race uses it, you have to ponder whether they're using it cheekily just to slide it in there and take a sly shot at you, or whether they're using it as a term of endearment. There's a thin line between the two, and you have to use it in the right way. That same contemplation never creeps in when a black person uses it though. I'm not saying one side should be able to use it and the other can't, but do you see my point?

They have no problem with all the white kids acting ghetto and buying rap albums, but the instant they sing along to one of the songs its racist?

I'm against not using words. To me, telling people not to say something makes them want to say it more. While it's obvious that the word has a horrible connotation, I think mainstream adoption of it evolves the word, lessens its negativity and changes it meaning. Same way some black people have added the "a" and said it means a term of endearment.
The problem comes in with the pop culture notion that black people are really the only people who can get away with saying it. When you hear it a ton in pop culture, music, etc., other races of people will want to say it or will blurt it out by accident. I've also said it jokingly around black friends though, talking about some idiot (That ***** stupid, crazy, etc) and they laugh pretty hard and really don't care.
My point is that we should all be allowed to say it. It takes the illegality out of it. It takes the mystery away from it. That said, if someone says it with a racist, very negative connotation then they should be called on it.

The reality is, most people don't care about you, your life, your problems, your bills, or your race/religion/creed etc. The reason is because they have all their own bull**** to deal with, something called life. What a tool Ice Cube is, sitting there like he's a black people king and can tell you all their rules you have to follow.. It's just a word, the best way to fight racism is to take the power from the word, act like it doesn't affect you because it doesn't.. The people you're mad at are long dead and gone and if you want to bring back the past why not mention how loads of white people fought and died to free slaves?

Ice cube is a middle class kid and is a fraud as far as gang history, like every single other rapper. He is a bigot and racist that has songs spewing black nationalist/blm type garbage. Fuk that racist fraud.
He is also a homosexual, like every other rapper.

Ice cube owes his career to white people. The same ones he attacks to look cool to his fan base. As part of the image that white marketers created for him.

personally, use of the n word by non blacks upsets me for two possible reasons.
1, they're being fake - it will upset anyone if they're trying to be a goody good dikrider and act 'cool' to impress you or something. Being too friendly and comfortable to say anything you want around someone gives off the impression that they think you're a pushover and won't check them on saying something they shouldn't. even if I didn't use the right words to describe that, you know what I mean. It's like trying to make a joke only to hear someone tell you "hey man my mom died actually." You can't be too friendly and comfortable with someone before you really know them. A lot of times these types of people use additional over-the-line phrases and shyt that should not be said to a stranger out of respect.
2, they're trying to upset me. now the word itself won't upset me. however, when you're trying to be disrespectful, it's not cool. you call me the n word as if you're superior and it's on. Just the same as if you say "fuk out of my way little retard" and it's on.
I've got a friend that says it trying to be funny. But every time he says it I'm thinking what are the chances that he's saying it with disrespect in his mind? My suspicions run true as he told me that he disagrees with blacks dating whites and if I got a white girlfriend he wouldn't say anything but he wouldn't agree with it. I'm still his friend but I told him not to say the n word anymore. If he does, it gets to me a little bit but I won't fight him for it unless he uses it 100% disrespectfully towards me because he's been my friend for a long time and I know he's still got my back if something happened while we were out.

Meanwhile you are building out this crazy narrative in your head about how every white person is out to keep you down.
On your second point, I am intrigued as to how you some how equated life to this equation. We have two different experiences stemmed from our history and race. No one owes me anything nor do I ask for anything, the difference with us is one a product of racist people and the other is a product of the receivers of said racist people. If I am soldier I am taught how to kill, pillage, destroy etc, if you are on the receiving end you are taught how to defend, hide, rebuild and endure. Those with the scars are not the ones who rob people, but those that get robbed, your family has no scars to pass on.
The reason black people are the way they are is due to slavery and post slavery all the way till end of Jim Crow and whenever white people felt like not being openly barbaric to them which would be 80's or so. Now what where black parents teaching their kids about white people or what did a black child learn from encounters with whites? Well say a black man is walking with his wife and pre teen son in the 60s and run into some white teenagers in town. One of the teenagers walks passed and slaps his wife in the ass and looks at the man in the face and says what are you going to do about it boy? Well the man knows he can't do anything and is shamed, the wife looks at her husband unable to protect her from a 14yr old, and the preteen sees a father with no balls who is none deserving of respect, because as boys you know how we feel about mothers.
Anyway I lost track of my thoughts, but this whole racism thing is bigger than you will ever understand, the fact that it has never been talked about as a country or ratified will one day lead in to a serious civil issue. I asked a man who claimed that BLM is a terrorist group whether he had ever viewed, talked about with family or in his inner circle whether the KKK was a terrorist group and he said no, funny aint it.

Always lol at people who say things like, "it's just a word" or "it's your fault for being offended by it"
Uh, tell me there's not a word that makes you angry? That makes you upset? That makes you feel offended? I dare anyone to sit here and say, honestly say to themselves, they are immune to words.
If you are immune to words, you would NEVER respond to someone in a negative way, EVER. And everyone here knows that isn't true, everyone knows that isn't true. So cut the, "accept being called an offensive word" act, because that's just exposing your own hypocrisy.
If a word isn't built to be offensive, and someone gets offended by it, then yeah, then it's their fault. But when a word is designed to be an insult and/or has a history of derogatory meaning, you can't tell people it's their fault for being offended. How about you stop being the bitch and learn how to choose your words wisely.

Ice Cube is the last person who needs to be talking about negativity and racism. Him and NWA caused more destruction and negativity in the black community in America than a million Bill Mahers dropping N bombs ever could. They were literally the forefathers of the promotion of gangster culture to young black youths through the mass media. He is the definition of a sellout anyways, trying to act like chastising this liberal clown is going to somehow revert him back to his pseudo black empowerment days (screaming black power, but calling black women hoes and bitches and promoting drug use and violence). Someone with some balls should have brought up Ice Cube's use of the word bitch. I wonder if he ever apologized for this:

This is all hog wash. I like nwa and ice cube but he and the black gal are wrong. If you don't like the word then no one should use it. Neither really know the history of slavery or they wouldn't talk and try to explain it the way they do

What a moron whining like a little bitch. Doesn't even realize he is the racist with his 'us vs them' arguments

What with your long admirable resume of...
He is a 50 year old guy wearing a baseball hat, you're trying to discredit his opinion for stupid ****, meanwhile he doesn't know who you are, misc doesn't know who you are, we're only coincidentally reading your opinion because you share the same space as us..
You'd the moron who's criticizing an ex rapper and hinting he doesn't deserve a soap box to stand on, meanwhile standing on your miniature internet soapbox that I guess you feel you deserve?

Lmao I've been hearing about this for a bit now but just now decided to watch the actual video. Wasn't even bad at all or trying to be offensive.
