Having a real bad night tonight
I just don't know what to do man... I don't get how people can be so fcking stupid
For once in my life I just want something that actually matters to go my way
Most the time, everything goes badly and nothing goes my way not even the little things... some days I have a good day and all the little things go perfectly and I breeze through the day... but not once, not ever have I had something important actually go the way I want it to even on a good day...
And some days anything and everything just goes wrong and today is one of those days, and I just want to get in bed and start again tomorrow but I can't fcking sleep because of how angry I am... so I'm awake in the middle of the night again, trying to drink myself into a coma and burning my lungs up with cigarette after cigarette
help me jesus

Some days I can have a really good day when we talk only about the little things
But when we talk about the longterm important chit every day seems to get worse and worse despite me putting everything I have into making it better and better, I can't evcen get to like a baseline amount of comfort where all I have to worry about is my day to day just got this crap looming over me how I'm not where I want to be - even when my goals are reasonable af... just want to be out of the abuse, out of the solitude... just want to feel like I'm actually living and that I'm not just "not dead" for a single another day

I feel you, bro. Very sorry to hear you're feeling that way.
Struggling with depression, whether circumstantial or not, is bloody tough - I've fought it for years and years. The issue is that it feels good to lament, and to feel down about yourself. Put down the drink and force yourself to have a large glass of water, for a start. Think of the money you're (literally) burning in cigarettes right now, and put the pack away (or give it to someone else) until tomorrow.
You will feel better immediately. Just force yourself to get up and do those two things, and go lie in bed. If you are listening to music, turn it off immediately - it does you no good at all.Feeling sorry for yourselfdoes you no good at all. If you need more, do a quick workout - to failure on push-ups and sit-ups. Have a cold shower. Anything to keep you from sitting there lamenting, and to distract yourself from what's going on in your head.
Will pray for you. Hope you feel better in the morning.

sorry that you're going through a hard time mate.
tip for tonight, put down the drink and cigs. lie down in your bed and take several deep breathes until you start to feel more relaxed.
Start looking at everything you can physically see in your room and start appreciating it. How more difficult would your life be if you didn't have them?
Try and sit in that feeling of gratitude for as long as possible
Where would you be sleeping right now if you didn't have your bed? How will you be staying warm if you didn't have your radiator? or heck, even your house?
In the morning, how will you feel fresh and ready to start a new day without the facilities in your bathroom and clean water to hydrate you and cleanse?
How would you gain easy knowledge if you didn't have internet and a device that displays it?
Truly thank each and every little thing that brings comfort and ease to your life, feel appreciation for them, and you will gradually start feeling better.
When you're focussing on positives its very hard for the negatives to seep through.
Good luck, you're gonna make it. Tomorrow is a new day and you get to choose what you focus on

I'm tired... that's why... in the past couple days I've slept about 10 hours total, I want to sleep but I can't because I'm so angry and then that makes my next day worse and takes me even further from trying to get comfortable
The chit that I want is so basic it should be a human right, they way I'm being treated here isn't even human it's worse than they treat prisoners in segregation punishment, I just want to get out... but I can't cos the situation and the way it's got me feeling is keeping me in

The world happens as it does, you will never have control, things will never go your way. Accept that. Do your best to deal with whatever reactions are given to you. Do not EVER set yourself for failure because you had your mind set on happiness = things going my way.
Edit: there is a depression thread bruv, I encourage you to post there

Nothing ever goes my way either, I have the WORST luck...but you just don't give up man, you can't - it's really just that simple. I used to have depression aswell at one point man, it really is hard to pick yourself out of the rut, but you just have to fight the good fight man. I also had really bad withdrawal symptoms, I just turned anti-social and I'd push people away from me to be by myself. I made a mistake doin' that as I had people in my life that genuinely did care for me and did help me. Ultimately, just keep on goin' and appreciate the good things you have in your life, you can derive true happiness from these things that you may tend to take for granted.

Bro I know those feels..
It seems like life is just kicking you when you're down sometimes.
Everyone goes through it.
Like me right now...
I feel like I fuked up by choosing pharmacy and constantly going over how much time, money and effort I put into something I really don't ****ing enjoy..
Such is life.
Also stay out of those Chad threads. This place can be toxic if you aren't self confident

I just realised my advice wasn't that applicable to your situation lol.
Bro, put the drink down (I'll allow you to keep smoking but cut it down) and attack the day! Get up early tomorrow and make that change. You will feel better, trust me. Engage in fun and productive tasks, and more importantly conquer your goals, socialise, learn new skills, no point sitting in sorrow. We're here for a good time, not a long time, and life is too short to be so down.

Well getting out may be difficult, but unless you are actually physically being held somewhere I believe you CAN get out. You just may not be willing to pay the price.

You seem like a chill dude man (when you're not down), being that positive guy will do you more good than this moody kunt. I know, I know, easier said than done. But at some point, you're gonna look back in 5 years and think where did the years go? Why haven't I progressed? Why am I still here? You need to sort ya chit mate and soon. Life is too damn short to be this easily defeated. Put the drinks down and get on with your life, you're young AF , I assume you have no ties? - the world is your oyster man. Acknowledge the position you are in and take advantage of it, better yourself, you're not tied down to kids or anything of that nature, you're good to go, and I know you're a smart lad.
And I also had horrendous insomnia for years, literally since childhood up to my 20s, no idea how I fixed that, still comes and goes a bit but a solid routine helps (though I can never stick to one) and I assume reduced stress maybe? I've been where you are man and you'll get past it.

and I got you on that second point too, you're right... sometimes it's less about being willing to pay thwer price and more not physically having it in me, I'm so sleep deprived cos I get angry laying in bed at night and my mind wont let me rest... even on good days where the little thingsd fall into place sleep still escapes me I can't remember the last time I got 8 hours sleep or even just slept a solid 8 hours without waking up

Need to know your goals atleast..
And I also had horrendous insomnia for years, literally since childhood up to my 20s, no idea how I fixed that, still comes and goes a bit but a solid routine helps (though I can never stick to one) and I assume reduced stress maybe? I've been where you are man and you'll get past it.

minimum wage they tend to understand cos all their staff are going through crap to end up there but it doesn't pay enough to live on and ultimately I get canned cos the lack of money keeps me here feeling like this not sleeping or eating you cant do that soul drasining minimum wage for long. Aanything more than miniumum wage that would allow me to afford a place and be in a better situation has so much expectations of me that I can't meet them in the state I'm in at the moment. I was getting paid 18k but I couldn't get a decent home until I'd been working there 6 months and they'd seen 6 months of money coming in nbecause they saw my work histroy was a mess, I didn't even make it 2 months. i was doing sales the amount of work they wanted out of me for what they were paying me was insane, backbreaking work mentally/.thinking wiseI'd struggle to meet those demnds even on a good nights sleep but my hopes of sleeping good for 6 months straight? none
basically I need to get threough 6 months of employment at a good place so I can get a better place to live, but it's just so out of rweach when I'm feeling like chit every day because i'm stuck here for 6 months minumum
edit: an to quit smoking^ not my job

Try staying up all night on purpose. Don't sleep until bedtime the next day. And avoid the cigarettes/booze at bedtime. Alcohol can help you fall asleep, but usually your sleep quality is worse.
Staying up helps with depression (though it is temporary).

Maybe getting a mental lift will help with the sleep. And getting good sleep helps with the depression.

- stay up round the clock
- next night practice good sleep hygiene; no bright screens, don't smoke/drink, take a hot bath then have a light meal with some carbs before turning in
Could be you can stack up a few nights in a row at least.

Everyone has good days and has bad days. You even stated that some days things are just fine and you breeze through the day. But now that you have a bad day, your whole world comes crashing down. Thats fuking life dude. Roll with the punches. Adapt. You can't control everything that happens to you, but you can control how you respond to it. Find the positives and stop focusing so much on the negatives.

Think about it. How can you capitalize on this?
You seem to be able to sort of see into the future and you know that stuff is going to go wrong, srs. not being a smart ass here. So why not use it to your advantage, Try it out with some sports betting and see if you can outsmart it. get excited about the teams you really deep down want to win and bet on the other teams that you hate and would not normally pick. Try it with no money at first to see if it works.
Also dont trust other people. they will almost always let you down.

I am sorry to hear it man. It would be hard to count the # of things I wanted that didnt go right for me. No dream job, hardly ever works out with any girl, one friend 7p miles away, terrible social life then and now due to being a douche back then, & used to be homeless.
The best thing I did was just realize that what didnt work out was probably for the best. I didn't get this or that dream job? Maybe it's because some time on some night something would have happened in the line of duty. Maybe it's because in ten years I'll be a millionaire in my own business, not working for somebody else and this was fate's way of pushing me to do it on my own.
Figure out what you're doing that's conforming to some societal expectation (degree, 2LT, etc) and what youre not doing towards something you really want.
Lastly, sometimes things fall apart because they were meant to. Sometimes they do bc of our own stupidity. Those are the toughest to swallow. But learn from it and make damn sure it wont happen again.

change your diet. i know you have a bad diet you don't even have to tell me. if you eat shiet you will feel like shiet. the longer to eat shiet the worse it will be.
also exercise. do some cardio, smoking cuts off oxygen/blood to your brain, you need to counteract that with exercise.
trust me OP. they don't call me the best poster here for nuttin'

OP you probably have too much faith in the world and other people......you expect the best from them, you want them to accept you.
You are like batman, before he became batman, confused and angry. embrace the world for what it is, not what you want it to be. once you do this you will start living....
