The guy apparently had to spend 40 days and take it to court. The fact that this even went to trial is enraging. The good thing though is that they were severely injured and one of them had a broken arm and fractured skull

More than likely emptied a clip in him and claiming his brace was a weapon. We've seen people get shot to death for a lot less. But the law allows it.
