Brilliant display from the blues. All the shît talkers about selections are eating their words now. Everybody stood up tonight. But Tedesco was just amazing. As was Fifita. Our whole forward pack just steamrolled them.

Das it Blues, best iIve seen them play in years, like you said necon, Teddy and Fifita were outstanding, (can't wait to see Teddy in a Roosters jersey next year!), Peats had a good debut as well, infact all of them played really well. QLD looked out of the game and never even looked like scoring or threatening, they really missed JT out there.

Qld really missed jt and also GI aswell. Boyd is a liability in defense without inglis around

Yeah Oates had a good game, I thought dropping, Lillyman, Myles and Thaiday were a good move and bringing in some new blood was good!

I actually think wing is a pretty important position these days. Look at someone like josh mansour he'd be in the top 3 metre makers pretty much every game.

Oates was pretty unlucky. They could of kept him on the bench as a back rower/utility back. Getting new blood was needed for QLD but I'm just wondering having so many people on debut or little experience in such a big game. Origin is a big step up from club and can take players a while to find their feet.
Either way with Slater and JT back its gonna be an awesome game. Interesting to see how it pans out

No reason why not. He's got the size for it. Thats why I think he was a bit hard done by for qld.. could of had him on the bench as a forward with origin experience instead of someone on debut in a do or die game. A lot of pressure for hess and glasby

I thought Lillyman had quite a good game and was our second best forward behind Napa. Plus, he is a real prop and we lack size in our line up.

Also lack experience in your pack massively now which lillyman would of brought. I think experience in origin is underrated. You can be be killing it at club level but being called up to origin is a completely different ask.
Your starting props now have 1 origin game between them, Gavin cooper has one game, and two debutant forwards on the bench. LOT of experience missing from that pack now.
Will be interesting to see if JT and Slater coming back will be enough to counter that

Matt Scott is their biggest loss imo. Such a dominant player. None of their other forwards are any great loss. Thaiday is overrated af, Myles was only there the past two years because of the teams success as a whole, and Lillyman only ever made the cut because there was no one else left. Qlds team for game 2 is certainly more dangerous than for game 1.

Some truth in this, but I think with all the experience of the halves directing the game it shouldn't be too much of an issue. All we need is the forwards to play hard, can't be any worse than they were in game 1.

Refs definitely didnt help but fark the blues threw that one away.
I thought they were the better team bar the last 20-30mins. Were all over them first half. Anyway think they can still win game 3.
Yeah fukin Vic ay. Pretty sure Josh Jackson got MOM

Normally I don't whinge after a loss but fukin hell. NRL has been so suss lately. How big a crowd would QLD of drawn to game 3 if they'd already lost the series compared to now.
Plus the amount of money on betting and some of the stuff thats been going on lately I don't know what to think anymore.
At the end of the day NRL is a business

i mean don't get me wrong lads new should've put old away and not let them back in at all but yeah

yeah cheers ruddager7 i saw on fb that jackson got it, only the 2nd time a losing player got motm or something.

i think nsw needed klezmer out there for the last 10min n not fifita, the qlders shut hit down to quickly but can pick the game to pieces n not change the result
