We met at my martial arts center and with our morbid humor, matched intelligence, and equal libido, have been dating for about 9 months now. It's been interesting for sure.

How are you guys?
Didn't see this, congrats. Good job.
Out of curiosity do your girlfriends mind you posting their pictures on forums?

Quick question... What do you guys do with your girlfriends other then sleeping with each other? Is it treating her like a best friend and just doing stuff with each other? May be making it to a official relationship soon, and I am not sure how to keep her into me.

Just be yourself. You can't effectively make yourself be something you're not to please someone else, or to "make" them like you. It's one of those things where she will either dig you or she won't. Too many people enter relationships thinking, "Well, I don't like this or that about this person, but they can change, or I can make them change." It always leads to disappointment. You have to ask yourself (as does she), "Can I be happy with this person as they are?" And if the answer is yes, then you may develop a great bond, if she feels the same way.

Never stop flirting with her. Go hiking, museums, social events, road trips, even make grocery shopping fun occasionally. Keep each other engaged and build memories. Doing that gives her things to talk about with her friends(as girls do) and when you go with friends you have conversation pieces.

I can't even imagine having a boyfriend/husband that I'm romantically involved with. It's been over 12 years. It's so weird to me that I may just end up FA like the guys on here.

Every guy I had sex with in the past 10 years has gotten my nerves where I wouldn't want a relationship with him. Granted most were in their 20s, but still. I couldn't wait until he left, which is a bad sign.

Do the kind of stuff you like to do with someone you like.

I have met women at work with a similar mindset to you...horrifically jaded to the point where you have a sort of "relationship PTSD", they also tend to live at the gym, have multiple "fur babies", and team up with other similar minded women to travel and objectify men nation/worldwide

And this.

Guys im wondering if you can help me. My little lad shocked me today when he recalled a random day when we went swimming- on that occasion he was just 13 months old. I've noticed he can recall many events in his life, seemingly unimportant to many people who move on quickly from it.
An example would be "Lindsey (his step mum) shouted at me on the Saturday in February in 2015, but it was Matt's (his step brother) fault...." That kind of recollection blows my mind.
"You shouted at me on that Friday morning in January 2016..."

Thing is I have and always have had an exceptionally chitty memory, possibly the eppi-leppy. My whole family have a relatively poor memory with regards to personal day to day events.

Are some of you able to recall personal events like this? Did it affect you as a child? I'm not sure how to approach it really because it isn't something I experience or my family really and although some people have commented positively it is obvious there is some upset for him, as he "relives" days from years ago which clearly make him very sad.
Anyone aware?

Well said^^^

Especially the part about being yourself.

I've seen it too many times where people put in so much effort in the beginning of the relationship that they aren't being themselves. So when they get comfort with the relationship, the real person starts to show and the other party ends up finding out that they really aren't interested in that persona really is. Can't go wrong if you be true to yourself. If that person decides they aren't interested in the "real" you...why would you want to be in a relationship with them anyway? Move onto a person that will want to be with the person you really are.

was there a photo or video of that day ever available to him? Or did he recall it completely unassisted?

I only remember extremely high or low points from my early youth such as my first bicycle crash, or first home run, I remember some of my parent's fights, but only facial expressions, noises, and a few words from it.

I would only be concerned if the memories start to affect his sleep, diet, or behavior to you or others.

I can recall memories from when I was very young that are very similar. I may not remember the day/month/year...but even today I can still see the images in my head as if I'm watching a movie (sometimes in 1st person...other times in 3rd person). Definitely a good thing for him to have a memory like that because he'll probably be able to apply it towards other things as he gets older. And seriously, I give you a lot of props for being concerned about him reliving those memories and trying to find a way that he doesn't have to keep going thru it...a lot of parents wouldn't even notice because they would look at it from their perspective rather than recognizing it does bother him. My suggest would be to talk to him about the event...let him explain why it bothers him so much and then find a way to reassure him. Just reassuring him that it is okay for him to be upset about that may be all it takes. At that age, sometimes just knowing your mom understand and will take the time to listen, means the world to a kid.

Thanks for the advice guys I appreciate it. I just got home from spending some time with her. I have a lot of ideas atm we just have to find the time. I want to go skydiving soon am hoping that can happen.

I am still scared tbh, I am trying my best to not let my issues hold me back though. I love how open we can both be to each other to.

that's great to hear man, thought you were gonna die alone and sad. don't stress about it, there will be others if you fuk this one up. and the others in the future will be better the more experienced you get, the less insecure you get, the more attractive you become.

with regard to doing things with her, just invite her into your life, into the things that you're passionate about. and if you don't have many passions, find some. if she doesn't like them, then find a girl who likes the stuff you do. my girl and I do most things together. we live a similar life and have similar interests. hiking, nudism, dogs, drinking heavily, watching series, traveling, beach, shooting/hunting, and lots of other stuff. there are things I love that I keep her out of though, like golf. I'd never want a girl wanting to play golf with me all the time unless she were really good at it. same with fishing, although I've taken her a few times. gotta have your separate interests too imo.

Good morning, y'all. Someone want to tell me where summer ran off to? Went from sweating my cheeks off at night to needing a second blanket to not freeze last night.

I can't even imagine that kind of heat. I get miserable around here when it is humid and in the 80s.

Just be honest and have fun. Faking chit now will just lead to disappointment later.

Have you considered doing memory work with him? Sounds like the kid is naturally talented, but you can improve and sharpen it by having him direct that talent towards specific tasks and puzzles.

I enjoy the fact that the ones who fraud hardest are also the most salty.

Sounds like you are getting more social media interaction with her than real life

who cares about what she is doing on ******** or instagram, if she is reaching out to meet you again IN PERSON, that is what matters

I dunno man, you should probably link up on a few more social media platforms, send her some likes, spend several weeks of virtual interaction before going crazy and talking to her. Or just ask her out, one of the two.

Have you gone out IRL yet, aside from your meeting at the bar?

But if given the option, always smash!
