I think what he said was just in bad taste. Of course they're not going to be better than professional men that play the sport. Thats like seeing some 5'5 150lb powerlifter pulling 600lbs and saying;

Heh, well, that still a pathetic lift because Eddie Hall can pull 1,015lbs

I mean, why would you even say that unless you were intentionally trying to be a douchbag?

She's 5'9" and easily 160 lbs. McEnroe, Agassi, Borg were about the same size. This isn't a lb for lb comparison.

Can see what you are sayimg, and in his position he should have gone with the pc answer but the reported baited it out of him its not like he just said it out of context

She specifically said "best" which clearly no woman ever can be, if she said most accomished then there is a solid arguement to be had

women athletes will 99% decline this. Most are proud women who know they are good at what they do in THEIR sport. wnba, softball, soccer, etc. they are the best at that respective sport against women. that isnt a knock at all. thats incredible.

they arent as dumb as the femnazi's and other crying bitches that think "oh women can beat them ! they do it better !".

no. women cannot be better than men at some things. just like men cant be better than some women at certain things. it would be a mauling and a slap in the face to very talented women athletes.

I disagree on the fact that their are women (and some men) that believe that women could be dominate in the mens circuit. These are the same people that thought Ronda rousey could beat Floyd Mayweather when Rousey has the boxing game of a 9 year old.

lol at idiots who always spew this nonsense. The lower divisions are often some of the most stacked and dangerous weight divisions. Floyd had absolutely a monster of competition at 130-135. 140-147 had the less but more threatening competition, but those divisions are stacked. 154 is also pretty stacked right now. And everything below 130. 160-168 are dead, and the only names at 175 are Kovalev and Ward. While the heavyweights (200+) only got a few names on top of stale competition. Just so easy to tell who's a real boxing fan who isn't, only a casual or non-boxing fan would make ignorant statements like this.

this. I could give a flying fornication about tennis but it is very refreshing to see him not back down from a comment that an interviewer basically made him answer.

I agree its dumb, it was the reporter unprofessionally pushing her femenist values onto him

Womens tennis is a great sport in its own right, it certainly much rather watch serena play than the 700th man even if he is better

this whole thing is fukkin insane. it's not even like he randomly came out and said it (which would have been fine), it was a question that he just responded to.

that being said, this could all just be a publicity stunt. inb4 another man vs. woman match.

how can he be considered the best if an average 180 pounder would murder him? it's the same concept

Nobody would agree to that. Serena and Venus already got their asses kicked by a cold, buzzed, sub-200 player who hit the link and ripped cigs before the back-to-back matches. Hell, just watch NCAA men's and pro women's side by side, you can see just how much slower the latter is.
