Probably TMI but how can your digestion handle that? Do you take fiber supplements?

I gained a lot of weight when I switched from a protein based diet to carb based due to a nutritionist I was seeing who said I ate too much protein at 120g a day.

Plus carbs made me hungry nonstop, so I'm switching back to more protein now. It's driving me crazy that my clothes don't fit and I'm not supposed to weigh myself or count macros in "recovery".

It must be different for women. When I get leaner, I get more lines on my face.

I was at my leanest in my avi before I went into the ED- Eating Disorder- hospital and they force fed me 3,000-4,000 calories a day had to eat everything on my tray to get out of that hellhole, groce hospital food that didn't even taste good, and gained 50 lbs in 3 months.

Then everyone said I shaved 10 years off my age. But I looked 5 months pregnant from the bloating.

Definitely notice a difference in the face with more body fat, look younger.

How can one invest that much protein? Do you take fiber supplements? I can't go over 120g of protein without major digestive issues.
I have a pretty sedentary life outside of the gym. I am a stay at home dad so I don't go to work and do active things. I also live in Texas and it gets miserably hot outside. Even the pool feels like a bath tub. So, I end up staying in most of the time.

As for fiber, almost all of the carbs I eat when I am this low are full of fiber. My carbs consisted of chia seeds, walnut butter, and broc****.

I do keep Metamucil on hand when I am having stomach issues. It's almost an instant response. I should probably start taking it again when I am this low. I am only staying this low for a few days. Otherwise, my maintenance at 8% is around 2400 calories.

6 days into cut, averaging about 1700 kcals a day which should be a big deficit since I think my maintainance is somewhere around 2700-3000 on average. Feeling pretty good and not lethargic or hungry so far which is good. Only doing 5 weeks of cutting so I'm trying to go for a big deficit.

Added a bunch of healthy chit to my diet that I normally wouldn't eat much of like vegetables and beans. As long as I mix it with meat and some sauce it's not bad. Funny how the healthiest foods start tasting good when you diet.

why do you think people hop back on?

because you look fukking awesome when you're on and look soft af (even with the muscle you get to keep) when youre off.

Nobody wants to look natty after theyve been on. fuk that. may as well just run TRT forever and say to hell with having declining test levels tbh. not gonna waste another breath of natty oxygen 100% srs ****s a joke

But when I was leanish like this b4 natty my nips/chest wasnt as puffy. Maybe I need to get to under 185lbs natty now to lose the puffyness.
Only reason i wouldnt hop back on is cause skin goes to chit andit can be a hassle

Ya I like it. Can't complain about salary, I'll never make less than 70 k , but I'll also never be rich. Most days I get to directly make someones life better, and since I have some knowledge on exercise and nutrition I've been able to give people some advice that would hopefully help them not return to the hospital (not that I fool myself into thinking they follow it). The biggest thing is that I'll never be unemployed. Even if Ontario laid off all RNs I can just go to the USA and have a full time job tomorrow, or do the paper work and I can essentially work anywhere in the world that speaks English.

Biggest reason I wouldn't suggest anyone to become a nurse is the work life balance. Brb working every other holiday, or multiple holidays in a row. Working alternating days and midnight 12 hr shifts. If I don't work over time I end up only working 7 out of 14 days, but two of those days off are basically wasted since I sleep the day away. If I was single it would suck because if I'm working 7am-7pm I don't wanna go meet a sloot and make small talk after, and if I work the next day I essentially just wanna lift and go to sleep as fast as possible.

TLDR

I like it, but I really don't think I would encourage anyone to pursue it.

Hehe, unaware. I'm guessing he's sick of douche nurses acting like they have the hardest job in the world? I agree. I actually get a lot of hate at work because I've openly told co workers that this job isn't as hard as they keep acting like it is.

It really was the goat. All time favourite moment was when someone asked him "how did you get such big delts?" and he held up a bag of skittles and shook it.

I actually never have an issue these days I eat lots of veggies a day and fiber filled snacks and other things stuff also. Before this much protein used to be a pain lmao but I need to hit like 280+ grams now to have that issue again which i actually try avoiding unless i hit up a barbecue.

You can't be eating that much protein at 120g some people eat upt o 400g a day and are fine but those guys are even bigger than me. Too much carbs makes everyone hungry especially sugar filled ones so i try and strike a balance on a cut to always have 85g fats and 190g protein regardless of intake.

I can go without counting these days and eye ball everything but i prefer to still measure and count my macros. I used to have a massive appetite so on some occasions i could literally eat 6k calories and feel like i ate 3k especially if full of fluff like donuts, beer etc

Re: Cardio and Weight Loss Stall.

My weights for the past 6 weeks (averaged 4-5 days throughout the week) are something like 186, 184, 182, 181, 181, 180.5. Now, This week I have had a few weigh-ins that were pretty low, so maybe my "whoosh" is happening. But IDK. This is all new to me.

Anyway, it sounds like it's not a bad idea to take a maintenance break, which I'll do next week during my deload. I'll try to start adding in a day of cardio here and there, as I'm pretty sedentary (walk around for work but that's about it).

I'm on 220-230 grams of protein a day. Don't see much issue. I eat veggies twice a day, and usually if I have a carb-type snack it's raisin bran, so my fiber is pretty good. 30-35 grams a day I guess.

so much this. i have had 10k calorie days before eating normal meals and then going to a bbq with tons of proteins and fats. its not had if you have a few meals during the day and then spend 6-10 hours at a bbq that turns into a party and goes into the night. party snacks, sweets, side dishes like potato salad, beer, condiments like dressings and sauces combined with a ridiculous appetite is an easy caloric disaster

@rectifryer, yah I know I'm probably overreacting, but I'm just skeered. Hold me.
My job is pretty difficult. I spend 8-10 hours a day 5-6 days a week on a hot af or cold af roof carrying tools and reading wiring diagrams. I'm in school for the rest of my career (unions require continued education). I have to deal with crabby people. I have to know a lot about a lot of different things..electric motors, gas motors, gas heaters, electric heaters, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, electrical circuits and components, etc.

But I don't post my broken heart story on ********---nurses do. Nurses, servers, and hairdressers are the BOTTOM 1% of the workforce when it comes to their personalities.

Nurses are holier than thou, servers are entitled, and hairdressers are trashy.

I'm glad your mom doesnt piss and moan about her job though GJDM

Dude that work is legit hard. My job is pretty easy, really (manager/engineer/it's complicated). Some days are hard to deal with, but overall it's not hard I don't think. I think it's a job that takes a lot of skill, but it's not hard.

My mom busted her ass, got a PhD, worked harder for 20 years, and is now CEO 10k/day.

the mental/skilled jobs are harder than any day that i have walking around doing remedial work. Having to think is hard. The days i'm fighting with the programs, wiring, etc, are the days that I earn my keep. that's why the smart people get ahead. You're making it if you have a job making decent money using your brain.

tell your mom to hmu and i'll fix her AC for ceo 1k/day

Lol, well you've kind of down played how much thinking is involved, especially for nurses in the ICU and Er. It's usually the nurse that notices a problem long before the Dr (however that's where it ends, I notice a problem, then it's up to the Dr to tell me how to fix it. A lot of nurses like to claim there the ones that fixed it but that is a lie)

However I get what you mean. Every woman I graduated with is always posting some meme about how hard they work. I think it's just a female thing to claim you have the hardest job (female office workers always complaining about the ac, the glass ceiling, etc).

He never works out legs too cause "knees" but I hit that Deadlift day of JnT 2 was supposed to work up to 430ish x8 but felt good did 450x10 felt good man. Back of sets ofb3x5 380 then 4x12 225 RDLs and finished off the day with machine accessories. I'm still sore from the squatting I did Monday though and now my lower back is tired as fukk

Thanks. I'm adding more fiber snacks and slowly building up beyond 120g of protein. I'm a pescatarian so eating a lot of protein has always been tough because my family complains when I cook fish. I have to have a lot of protein shakes. Just got a new outside grill as the other one broke, so that should help.

That's crazy, that's what the women in my eating disorder group would eat, no more than 800 calories a day. I would get faint on that. I can't imagine a guy

It's rare that I miss a week of legs. That's insane about the dude, his joints are falling apart from starvation.

Wow, a stay-at-home Dad that dedicated to this. Are you competing? I have a tough time with Metamucil as I have choking issues, part of the reason why I have a tough time eating meat. Chia seeds are a carb and not a fat? Mind=blown. I have those most days. I have to get Stevia again as I'm all out and can't use sugar as that just makes the cravings go through the roof.

I shouldn't even be posting ITT as dieting always leads to a relapse and then the cycle continues where the nutritionist pumps me full of food because I'm fainting and dizzy all of the time, and whatever weight I've lost is gained back. I guess dieting/cutting for me is like an alcoholic walking into a bar.
