IDK man he seems slower than Floyd in all his vids... He just isn't a pro boxer. His striking game is not at the same level as Mayweather's. If this were an MMA fight, he'd completely destroy him, but if he's only allowed to box, it is pretty clear that Mayweather will win.

Fair enough. You're right that we don't have good evidence of Conor's maximum abilities, but you do have to admit he is first and foremost an MMA fighter. His experience in traditional boxing is limited, and while he may have talent for striking in MMA, it is completely different from boxing. He is facing one of the best pro boxers. I am sure Conor will sharpen his boxing skills, but honestly, do you really think he has a chance here? It's like when Michael Jordan tried to play baseball. Sure, he was decent, but he wasn't on par with the best at the game. To be the best at a sport, you must live THAT sport. Conor is not a boxer. He is an MMA fighter, and they are totally different things.

If Floyd can do it, and stay elite at 40, more power to him, I will be impressed.

But the pressure is on Floyd to overcome HIS insurmountable odds, to beat mortality and win the way he should, vs all Conor has to do is study hours of footage and solve a simple puzzle. (with the difficulty level greatly decreased compared to before)

People logic saying Floyd is so good at such a high skill as is boxing depth, that even a reduced version of that depth is better than a new person entering that depth.

But this is illogical. Its not a degradation, its an all or nothing paradigm because speed is the main element in Floyds technique working and not working, on or off, 1 or 0, dodge the punch or its night night.

There is no 80% to this chit.

Once you age, your speed and reaction is first to go.

Speed is 100% of Floyd defense so if he lost speed, he lost all of his defense (and has no real offense if no defense)

I've trained in Mayweathers gym (amongst others). I was at the Lewis - Klistchko fight as a child. I remember being at the mike Tyson press conference after Lennox Lewis ripped his face off. 154 is the limit. He can weigh anywhere from 148 to 154. Mayweather has never been able to top 154.

I'm surprised this fight is at 154. Doesn't Conor normally fight at 145? Mayweather normally fights at 147 now, and on record has said he hates making 154 and fighting in 10 oz gloves. Wonder why 154 was agreed upon.
