That's crazy, that's what the women in my eating disorder group would eat, no more than 800 calories a day. I would get faint on that. I can't imagine a guy

It's rare that I miss a week of legs. That's insane about the dude, his joints are falling apart from starvation.

Wow, a stay-at-home Dad that dedicated to this. Are you competing? I have a tough time with Metamucil as I have choking issues, part of the reason why I have a tough time eating meat. Chia seeds are a carb and not a fat? Mind=blown. I have those most days. I have to get Stevia again as I'm all out and can't use sugar as that just makes the cravings go through the roof.

I shouldn't even be posting ITT as dieting always leads to a relapse and then the cycle continues where the nutritionist pumps me full of food because I'm fainting and dizzy all of the time, and whatever weight I've lost is gained back. I guess dieting/cutting for me is like an alcoholic walking into a bar.
Chia seeds are a fat source first, but also contain fiber.

i find it much easier to eat sub 2k cals than to "only" eat 3200 or similar. eating 3200 leaves me feeling like im still hungry.

Its why i like IF. I get to binge and feel full, but stay reasonable with total cal intake cause i only eat in a 6-8 hr window

So I saved up my calories enough to have a couple slices of pizza last night. Ended up drinking some regular soda too. It put me over by about 100 cals, but my issue is I look like a bloated mess now and my wife just told me we're going to the pool this afternoon. How the hell do I dry out in just a few hours without going to the gym???

It's the carbs and possibly lower protein. This is why I like moderate carbs or carb cycling and very high protein when dieting. Lean meats are better for satiety and carbs, especially certain types and timing of the carbs, can increase leptin which then causes hunger

What is 1/5 American water pills? You talking about a diuretic? I don't have any on hand, or I would have already used it.

Gotcha.

Guess I am just going to have to look like a bloated mess. Pity, because before last night, I looked like a shredded kent. Had 20-30g of carbs for two days in a row and looked amazing

The protocol is that tomorrow I do 6xlbm in carbs, so for me that would be roughly 660g of carbs, or 2640 calories. With 150g protein that bumps me up to 3240 calories, and with 150g of fat, that bumps me up to 4590 calories.

The second day I would be eating 330g of carbs, so I would probably be around 2500-3000 calories, with maybe 75g of fat.

My biggest question is, I am ravenous at this point and was really looking forward to eating a Chipotle burrito, chicken fried rice from pf changs, two big cookies, garlic bread, and some indian samosas, along with other more clean carb sources, but the problem with this is that the burrito has 28g fat, rice has 28g fat, cookies have 28g fat, and garlic bread/samosa have total of 36g fat.

The diet recommends a maximum of 50g fat per day, which seems low as fuk for the refeed.

If I were to do that, I would literally be eating plain rice, plain bagels, plain pasta, etc, and really struggling to stay under that 50g of fat.

Will I really see much of a difference if I bump up the fat to where I have it? Keep in mind, I have literally been on 950-1000 calories for the past 11 days.
Re feeds and gaining in the off season requires more carbs and far less fats. IN the end, I think as long as you are still meeting your protein needs, and get a fair amount of carbs, going over on fat isn't terrible. The only thing I would be concerned about is possible stomach issues form eating so much garbage after having a healthier diet prior.

First off..refeeds aren't cheat days so...yes you can get 600+g carbs and 50g fat. White rice, potatoes, rice cakes, oats, etc are all your friends.

Legit refeeds are not glamorous.

Your fat limitation is your own limitation. The difference between 50 and 120g fat for you may be very large. For some people, it may not be an issue. Trial and error.

It make difference, however, the calorie increase also has a positive metabolic response, just not as much as when you have higher carb and lower fat. Carbs are very anabolic, so why not use that time to also have a positive effect on muscle preservation and possibly growth.

Wife's work has a catered box at the local minor league team. Went a little hard on the catering tonight. Two hot dogs, a burger, a BBQ sandwich, two beers, some nachos, and half a cookie. I still don't think I did that badly on the day. About 2800 cals.

Refeeds require pancakes and real maple syrup imho hhhhhnnnnnggggggg. I don't store more than 400g carbs total. Anyone know what the carb rate intake should be? I imagine it's like an analogy situation comparing whey to steak and gummy bears to sweet potatoes in digestion speed. Unaware

There is a couple of videos out there about "skiploading" idk if you guys are familiar but it's worth a read for those inquiring about refeed days. The principles are similar to a carb cycling diet. Carbs relatively low throughout the week, then one day away you start with a 6-8 hour window of refeeding, as many simple carbs as you can in that window. As you become leaner you increase the refeed window in order to continue to spike leptin levels and utilize fat for fuel after the refeed. I can say that I used this method a couple of times and lost a steady 1.5-2 lbs a week (base line weights taken every week on the morning of refeed prior to any meals at the same time of day).
Tons of write ups and some seminars on YouTube

I'll go off the handle once in a while but I never let it swing too far to the right.

What you bros got going on this weekend?

Tracked my steps for the first time yesterday after the talk of tdee the other day and I logged about 15.5k steps. Hit a pretty solid push day as well. google fit app, which I used to track my steps estimated my tdee at about 2800. I'm currently 216lbs maybe 18% bf.

This sounds fairly accurate to you guys?
